A quote from the designers of game:
"We can’t give you the system requirements because the game is not optimized yet. The optimization process is usually the last stage of the project, so we will be able to give you this information closer to the launch in February 2015."

My guess is you will be ok as long as you don't optimize everything.

i know,.. but maybe, seeing from the trailer footage you guys could maybe guess what it's require...

so, i guess at least it will not a titan z what you need,...maybe for ultra a GTX770 ...?
Did you see the new trailer? No one will be able to run that beauty.

I expect you'll be able to run it but you won't be able to do very much with and at 1080 you could be forced to run at low and I think AA is not a possibility.

I expect that TW3 at its highest settings will be pretty damn rough, but, due to its being developed by CDP, likely will scale down to be pretty inclusive at its lowest levels.

I expect a 7950/280(there is no 280.) or 7970/280X or 760 or 770 is what you'd want for this game at maxiumum settings 1080 but who knows. you would need at least a 2gb framebuffer to be comfortable. I'm pretty sure that 1gb framebuffer, while adequate for 1080p so far, will likely hurt you in a newer game with higher level textures targeted for the PS4 with its gobs of framebuffer. everybody harps on textures these days, so that will only encourage higher res ones. the 650 also has a 128bit bus which will bog you down when it comes to AA. you need at least double that to shoot for high and maybe even medium here. who knows what the game will shape up like and they've given no indication. but I think it is likely they haven't made low too harsh.

don't be too quick to get a card now though because there will be better ones coming next year. but obviously the details there have something of an unknown quantity to them and that's up to you. you could just wait and see of course, the game won't be out for a while.

thank you, awesome replay^^

i still hope i can run it... maybe on 720p with medium texture and some stuff off...(bloom, etc)

I already can run all crysis games on high, also witcher two runs on high...
Honestly though, speculation at this time is pointless. Until they release their system requirements, it's all complete guesswork. I just hope I can get a new rig together before it's released, so I can enjoy it in its full glory.
Ubersampling off and then it runs fine. Hopefully.

Does it use same engine, modified engine or brand new? I did update my pc for this game and also other games. =)

Still.. Hasswell is hotter than me in the summer, lying in a job, with many socks on and a knitted sweater.
We'll have to wait... And I might have to wait even more because I do not plan to replace any of my 2 PCs ( nor my i7 870/HD7950/16gb, nor my FX 6350/HD7870/16gb ) in 2015.

And as they probably won't implement a text mode...

Even developers :)
I'm on a i3770k @4.2g with a gtx 680 4gb @1202 / 6500(vram) , 32gb 1600 ram, with a cheap Korean (crossover) monitor (2560 x 1440) and the witcher 2 with everything maxed brings mine to a crawl, cant use ubersampling and have to knock down some settings, the witcher 3 maxed will probably need a really ridiculous pc.

Really? Mine worked pretty fine with uber off and then I had crappier pc. my resolution was 1920x1080 because otherwise that game would look like crap in my monitor and that's the max in my monitor. At least they have options. Perhaps less SSAO stuff.

I don't think witcher 3 needs some ridicilous machine just better we all have =) but then there's perhaps a patch and controller support. although W2 had good controller support but not good enough I used mouse and kb.

They have time to make a game which rolls.. eh runs perhaps in decent machines. Witcher 1 had that square place lots of people and stuff and that was the only place where it slowed down, perhaps the engine was overused. there's 8 months or something to make it optimized. We will see. At least it isn't ubisoft.
