If I recall correctly, they have adjusted their regional price in late october (or around that period).

Yup, due to currency conversion rate changes... I think in some areas there have been 2 just in the past 2 months.

are you sure that a big difference of 3€ (relative to 8.70€) is due to currency conversion rate change?

Not entirely, but wouldn't the refund difference be based on currency conversion for the actual price of the game? The currency conversion changes have been anywhere from 7 to 8+% depending on currency. 7% of the current discounted price of 43.79 is 3.07...
I already bought the game, guys :)

BLEEP!!

I am sorry, but there is no way in hell I would pay that for a computer game.
I am amazed there are ANY Australians playing computer game at that price. Do you all work for review companies or something?

Namco Bandai and their policies (they arent the only ones) decide they MUST punish aussie gamers for being in australia.

KiNgBrAdLeY7: You should had preordered it as early as possible.
Eeeeh, no you shouldn't. Don't preorder videogames if you can help it, I find the practice even worse than DRM... The latter's honest about being bad at least.

For the record, I still see the preorder price @31 EUR.

Price went up to $59.99 ($47.99 with discount) for me. It's happened before, last time was also when I traveled from Brazil to Uruguay.

Yes, you should. Preordering a brand new, AAA plus game whoose developers had the guts to sell through GoG, a game that gives GoG exclusive bonuses/extras, a game which gives all DLC free, a game that is DRM free, a game that doesn't require 3d party client (won't say name), is NOT going to have 3 different preorder versions of the same game (call me bandai namco games) to milk customers off their money (unlike some other services, won't say name), then as a gamer, and especially to keep stuff like this coming, you HAVE to preorder.

Basically, in this case, and cases like this, you do NOT simply preorder. You entrust the developers with your hard earned money and good will. You say your way: "I like what you 've done with all this, and please keep it coming"! And then you go to all forums and shout uncontrollably: "EA UBISOFT ACTIVISION BLIZZARD TAKE NOTES ON HOW THINGS ARE ELSEWHERE AND HOW SHOULD BE DONE EVERYWHERE, plus various cosmetics directed at them, i am obviously going to omit".

KiNgBrAdLeY7: ..
It doesn't matter who is practicing a bad practice, it's still a bad practice. And preorders are the worst - CD Project has disappointed me terribly by offering what are, basically, GOG exclusive preorder bonuses. Now I do realize this is what you need to remain competitive in the market, but the fact is, there is no place for preorders in digital market any longer - the stock is no longer limited in any way.

The only part that remains is that whomever is selling you the product is bribing you with what are basically free cheap trinkets not nearly worth the asking price to force you into purchasing something you know very little about. If we just stopped preordering, all of that stuff would be included with the actual product as opposed to being preorder exclusives.

All the other companies don't care about what you are saying on discussion boards - they are, however, going to see The Witcher 3 preorder numbers, and they are going to see that preorders work, and they are going to continue doing them along with bonuses, regardless of who they are.
