I'm thinking "Well, yeah....higher res textures, more detailed models and levels....if you're attempting "Hardcore" not even a Blu-Ray will take you too far."
I'm completely lost on how the conversation has turned in this direction.

All I know is that I'm maintaining my stance that the requirements for The Witcher 2 aren't insanely high and leaving it at that

I personally am not too bothered by it.

I always remain two years behind in gaming anyway.

By the time I can afford the upgrade, Witcher 2 GotY Edition with all DLCs and necessary patches will be found bargain binned.

....and I'll probably still be trying to finish the first one anyway. XD

Would a GTS 450 1gb do the trick?

3.02ghz dual core
4gb ram
850watt PSU

Pretty certain my 4650 512mb will have a heart attack if i try.

(Money is an issue and why im not looking at more than £100)

I have a 4 years old notebook and I'm quite sure it'll run. I mean, I run most of new games on high, that's for consoles! :D

Whiteblade999: I want to switch to an Intel CPU but I really don't have the cash sitting around to get a new mobo, CPU, and some ram. That whole being a college student thing with limited income screws up the upgrade (and buying most games new) plan.

GameRager: Find a mobo that takes your current RAM and CPU then, but which can accomidate more/bigger/faster(yet same DDR level) ram.
Its a waste to buy another AMD motherboard for a couple games when I'm planning on getting an Intel one in about 6 months don't you think?

both those site said i dont have a powerful enough video card...but i am using a ati radeon 4550 HD lol

Well, in a week I'll see if my trusty laptop, which is definitely below the minimum reqs, can run this thing. It can run most modern console ports on reasonably good settings, but I'm not at all expecting that to be the case here, just judging from how good the game looks. However, I am prepared to run it on Low at 800X600, as long as the frame rate is smooth.
