rooshandark8: Wait 9 more days and i will show you, Wanna have a bet?
Wait, they've finally managed a chipset that is capable of handling more than solitaire? And it only took them like 15 years.

TheCheese33: I ran the testing on YouGamers. Is it possible that the site isn't entirely accurate when it comes to this sort of thing?
Did you try can it run?(google it, it's pretty good).......by system requirements lab? They're another testing service for game requirements.

9 days man, and i will show you that intel gma hd handles tw2 Hmm how about the loser gives the winner 1 5.99 gog?

Namur: The specs are what they should be for a PC game that from what i've seen so far looks gorgeous. I'm well over the recommended and this is on a ~2 years old rig.
avatar
macuahuitlgog: Yes, but if there was the option to play a less gorgeous version, more people can enjoy the game when it comes out. I'm not sure if that is possible with the engine they are using though. I've never made a game.
I'd rather they made the game run for a realistic amount of users and not try to push to run on every system config out there.......more systems tested for compatibility and made to work with DNF means more development time and more chance of bugs being introduced to other users.

P.S. Don't mind me all....just reading throough the thread and replying in turn to stuff I find reply worthy is all.

I can't I'm pretty broke at this stage. I'm also in denial that they finally managed to put together a competent card. I remember the couple times I got bit by them bitterly. Once bit, twice shy as they say.

TheCheese33: I just tested it on System Requirements Lab, and apparently my video card (Mobility Radeon HD 4670) isn't powerful enough. :(
avatar
rooshandark8: My intel gma hd will run tw2 ur hd 4670 will run it too
Integrated graphics won't be able to handle the game well, if at all, even on lowest settings.....

I remember the good old days of my GMA struggling to cope with the burden of Warzone 2100, and my first AGP card based on the i740, may it rot in silicon hell.

It's nice to see that they're finally contributing something to the GPU world, other than as a source of ridicule.

I forget how old it really is. The i740 was from the late 90s, I had a VAIO with an intel chip in like 2002, which blew chunks. I seem to remember replacing an Intel chipset awhile later with something else which was much better, that must have been a Dell from 2004 or so, but Warzone was old enough at that point to have been released freeware. So any chipset at that time shouldn't have had any trouble at all with it.

This is the first time I've heard anybody say anything good about an Intel graphics chip.

Sandy Bridge reminds me a bit about the talk that Cyrix was making shortly before being bought out by VIA.

Lucky for me that DNF's specs are even lower then....this means it'll be accessible to anyone under the sun(with Windows or a console I mean) and hopefully with good sales we'll see DNF2/DN5 within a REASONABLE(like 1-3 year) timeframe.

Delixe: Crysis 2 has been totally dumbed down! Where are my settings?? Why can't I max this game? This game has been nerfed for consoles and doesn't use the full power of my PC it's an OUTRAGE!

The Witcher 2 doesn't run on my 7 year old gaming rig! Why can't I drop the details to crap and play it in 640x480? This game is designed for cutting edge PC hardware and it's an OUTRAGE!

Titanium: This, but with more OUTRAGE

What i've leaned from this forum and my own testing in the past is that a lot of developers will over exaggerate specs because they don't want the headache of attempting to trouble shoot and refund those in the minority whom are still clinging to older systems.

For instance, watching the gameplay, I don't believe that BEEP really requires a dual processor but Steam has listed Dual Processor as the only listed spec.
