When i look at GOG website i see the theme of it as a site where old 90s games are converted to work under modern day OS systems.
And thats what it should be. I guess the idea of adding a few games that came out in 2000 is fine since those are games that may fall under oldies but still goodies.
So there are tons more games from the 90s i want to see. Like Lands of Lore and a few more Westwood games.
But when i go to the request list i see a bunch of games that came out like 1-3 years ago and fully works for Vista or Win 7. So why dont players go on steam or go on amazon and buy it?
Worse yet is seeing Witcher 2. Which aint even out. And im sure any modern day game will want a online verification everytime you play. And thats something im glad GOG will never have.
So i guess spamming the boards with games that dont fill the GOG theme
wishlist probably has nearly every game in existence. Sadly that's what you'll get with an open list.

ya maybe the site should just have like 5 options and you vote.

You answered your own question:

I imagine Witcher 2 is there since it's a CDProjekt game and they own this site.
Personally, I see no issue with GOG grabbing recent games as well when the opportunity arises (see Two Worlds, for example). It means they have a wider ranging catalog and will therefore appeal to more people (meaning more customers/revenue), which can only be a good thing. And their games are DRM free (again, look at Two Worlds' horrible original DRM and compare that to what you get from GOG).
I vote for recent titles sometimes often because they have bad DRM on them now, or because I like owning games on GOG so I know they'll always work. So while they're new now, someday they'll be old enough to come here.
I voted for Starcraft 2. Hope it's Tuesday's game. DRM free.
I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again: it is a wish list, people are going to put on it every game they wish to see on GOG someday. Eventually, even games like The Witcher 2, Starcraft 2, Bioshock Infinity, etc. are going to be old games and when that happens, some of us are going to want to see them here (assuming they are also good games). At the same time, there are current games that use DRM schemes that offend some people, Steam being one of those offenders. Those games are on the list because a lot of us just want to see them available without any restrictive DRM in the least.
As for the idea that GOG should only have games from the 90's, well, you are a bit too late for that. GOG already has several games from the 2000's, even one as "new" as 2007. The "old" in Good Old Games is not a hard and fast rule for the service. It is more like "Good games that are no longer available on store shelves, even though they might have only came out a couple of years ago".

That's a fine description. :)
I'm adding Shadowrun 2 to the wish-list as we speak.

Even worse: even Adobe PhotoShop is on the wishlist.

Good isn't applicable for every title anymore either.

Well, what's good is subjective as beauty is in the eye of beholder and other people's carpage is treasure for other people. Old is also subjective as for some game older than few months is ancient. Some might even want to see shitty games here to merely see why game was universaly hated.
Btw, I was the one that added The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings (as well as Neverwinter Nights 2 Deluxe Edition and many others). At least they are games as there are many things that are not games or even software there.
i personally want to see the magic carpet games here, between magic carpet plus and doom i barely saw sunlight during the 90's
