boskee: The only reason they did it was to deceive us, but now, now we know their true colours. WAKE UP SHEEPLE!
I propose we don't feed that troll.
mezla1058: So wait. They knowingly deceived New Zealand customers and we are supposed to bend over and take it? How does that work? I propose we don't feed that troll.
In all seriousness, yes there does appear to be a bit of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing here in the communications GoG sent out. They did give New Zealand as a random example of a country that wouldn't be censored. But then the New Zealander distributers got lazy, and instead of importing non-censored Witcher 2s, they imported the Australian stock. That has put GoG in a bind - they thought, like the New Zealander customers, that only Australia was censored. But they also have to match what the local distributers are supplying - that would be a contractual requirement. So they've found themselves having to give New Zealand a censored product when they originally thought they wouldn't have to. It's a bad situation to be in, it could have been communicated more clearly to customers, but that's how it appears to have happened and I sincerely doubt it was intentional. It's not like they needed the (probably) small number of pre-orders from New Zealand so desperately that they had to lie over it.

mezla1058: There's been no communication about it and support tickets go unanswered. Nothing is being done. This makes it look like it was intentional. Seriously mate, chill down a little. I sent a support ticket about a bug on the website and they only replied after 2 or 3 days. They aren't deceiving anyone, there may be miscommunication but no one is "screwing Kiwi's on purpose".

Switch296: Wow what the hell?
New Zealand gets the censored version even though they are their own country and have their own rating system? What the shit?
That's like America being given a censored game just because Canada decided their version would be censored.
I am extremely disappointed with CDPR and GOG.com
After them stating the Australian version would be uncensored on GOG.com, The price rises and now this, I have lost complete faith in both CDPR and GOG
Trying to hold my tongue and not out-right insult you guys over this, I'll take my business elsewhere.
Funny how things like this can so quickly change your opinion on things. Two days ago I was in love with CDPR and GOG and right now they have to be nearing the top of my corporate shit-list.
I know how you feel. As a Kiwi I though, wow GOG has done what all these other companies have been failing to do for years, by recognising that New Zealand is not part of Australian. In the same way that Poland is not part of Germany. But no. Apparently they are part of Germany just like we are part of Australia. I just hope they read this, they will hopefully realise that they have not just commited fraud, but they have also insulted us at the same time.New Zealand gets the censored version even though they are their own country and have their own rating system? What the shit?

Paradoks: From "About us" page:
"8. Same game, same price, no matter where you're from!"
I think someone needs to remove that point as it's no longer valid.
Switch296: Fuck oath they do. Last I checked that's false advertising. "8. Same game, same price, no matter where you're from!"

New Zealand and Australia are totally different countries because one has red stars on its flag and the other has white stars. Just like how Superman and Clark Kent are different people because one wears glasses.

Scathsealgaire: Sorry about the spelling. How's the weather in the country with the septic tank below it? :D
Darling_Jimmy: No worries, friend. It's a frozen tundra. How are your sheep and female prime ministers? :D That's funny. Game Rager is telling US to calm down. hehehe. Already sent tech support a piece of my mind, better not have to give them another....
You can't be from Texas. Not with advice like that. Where you from?
