Hi Gog,
We have two confusing entries for the the first medieval total war game which i would very like to see merged together as; Medieval: Total War - Viking Invasion
Medieval Total War : Viking Invasion
Total War - Medieval
Many thanks
it would help the formatting make sense.
and M:TW is a game governed by the modding community which demands M:TW + VI + Patch 2.01.
not to mention that GoG would certainly provide the gold version with patches and expansion come the glorious day that CA allow their game to be distributed on good old games.
Don't worry, I think the list is sorta meant to be user-run and anarchic. I'm sure when they check it they add redundant tallies appropriately. I haven't seen any moderation thusfar, anyway.
Curious: where in Afghanistan are you from?
yeah, the wishlist is totally farked, you should read a few older threads around here, they address this issue at length.

Medieval: Total war and Medieval: Total war viking evasion is an expansion pack to medieval: total war.
I think the main thing that would help is to just have someone at gog, or a volunteer/a couple of people from the forums to go through the wishlist and look at the games and merge them if they should be and then have the database lock the name down and if someone tries to add the game again it points them to it.
Basically like how Gametz has a list of things and the database will check the spelling of it when you submit it and then tell you if it can't find an exact match (IE because you didn't spell it right or something) then it allows you to browse a list of similar named games to see if it is there. If it isn't, then you can put a request to have that game added and someone will check it to make sure if isn't a duplicate and is a legit game and then it'll be added to the database.

yes, like I said, this issue has been discussed at great length, http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/i_think_the_wishlist_is_getting_out_of_hand/19

So far, there hasn't been much of a response from the GOG.com team. I imagine if there was going to be anything like that happening, it will happen with the first update http://www.gog.com/en/page/newsletter_002/
but I doubt it.
It's not long until someone starts adding collector's edition versions and borks the wishlist system. People even add stuff like Crysis or Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. HELLO! Put down that bong! It says Good Old Games!

People should be ashamed of themselves.
