I have noticed quite a few games listed on the Wish List that already run just fine under Windows XP/Vista. For example...Deus Ex: Invisible War, Crysis (!), Far Cry 2 (this isn't even out yet!, etc. I'm not sure if these are people trying to get a great game that works fine already on their OS for a mere $5 or $10 because they're cheap or what, but if a game that exists will run on they're current OS then that person should pony-up the $ that the developer is asking instead of trying to con GOG.com into GIVING it to them for next to nothing. Am I alone in this thinking?

It's not all about WinXP/Vista compatibility and cheapness, rather a show of demand. But I will agree that some things are out of place, Crysis and FarCry-2 are likely a response to the activation limits the games will have.

Hey,
I believe the idea behind this site is to allow people to get and play older games again and to raise awareness of some old classics. It's not a site just about getting games running under XP/Vista or about having them DRM free. Those are perks (though the DRM free is a awesome perk :) ).
It doesn't matter if the game runs fine under XP/Vista. It just means the the GoG Lords will have an easier job of it assuming the get the rights to sell the game here.

I think it's more about the added value that GOG.com offers - no DRM, no discs, convenient downloads, extra goodies etc... I'd much rather buy a game through a service like this than anywhere else. I realise the games you're talking about are unlikely to appear here any time soon, but they will eventually become "Good Old Games" and if you don't ask, you don't get.

I can understand probably Deus Ex: Invisible War.
Can't remember last time I saw that one in the store.
Hard to find games are meant for GOG.
So are games that are out of print, too.
