grviper: Damn. Didn't notice, the cards were given away for voting. Must've missed out on $0.50 :) Big money here in RU.
Huh? Does someone really care about these cards? The only thing you get from crafting a badge is an in-game item in some MMOs, no? Don't think it's worth the trouble.

My trigger finger is getting itchy over Dark Souls. And it already got too itchy when Deus Ex HR DC was on sale. Now I really hope that extra content is worth $3.
What IS a "Director's Cut" anyway? Is it a name for the cut of the profits that go straight into the director's pocket?

Director's Cut usually means that content that was removed from the original release is added back in.

skeletonbow: Collector mentality is part of it. Steam rolled this out because it is all a part of the psychology of addiction and marketing. It isn't necessarily all a bad thing if someone enjoys it or perceives benefit from it of course, but all of that stuff is totally lost on me. I've got a bunch of trading cards and other crap in my Steam account that will more or less sit there and rot. I couldn't be bothered to bring the page up let alone trade or sell the things. Putting an hourly price on my spare time, even if I sold them at twice the going rate my life would only be shorter for the time spent. ;o) That's not to say that I don't collect anything myself, but I'm kind of indifferent towards such things for the most part, and totally don't care about it for games.
I think I'd be fine with the whole trading card mumbo jumbo, and to each his own, and yadda yadda, if it wasn't for the huge cut Valve takes from the benefits of trading. I'm not into trading virtual stuff, I can find game art on Google for all I care, but I'm O.K. with others being interested, and would be willing to trade them any card I earn. But I'm not O.K. with throwing unearned money in Valve's pockets. You want my money? Fine, then give me good games at reasonable prices, but don't just wait for Joe McCollector to pay half a buck for my "Bastion generic art #2" card and take ten cents for it (not sure on the actual percentage, don't care enough to check) without it actually taking any effort for you or you providing any service whatsoever. So yeah, my cards will rot as well, I guess.

When I'm bored some day maybe I'll go into the marketplace and put them all up for sale for $10 or whatever and then not care about it again. If someone ends up buying something at that price great, if it sits there for 10 years, that's cool too. Never know if some nut will buy it though I guess, or even make a mistake purchase. :)

If you have cards, didn't you already buy a game at a price you considered reasonable?

Also, don't forget the people who made the game get money from the market as well.

Some people care enough to pay 10 RUB for those. They pay on the market, I buy stuff... eventually... something cheap... because you can't get much this way. Too bad, there's nothing fun to buy this season.

I wonder, how many don't realise, the Snow Globes expire.
I sold enough to buy Super Meat Boy, just from playing my games.

People want things I guess, can't begrudge 'em for that.

...so what if I kept all the ones I obtained from playing Skullgirls...
New flash deals:

Castlevania, Dead Space 2 and Brutal legend

Also trine2, borderlands 2 goty and shadorun are on sale.

EDIT: for people who have Borderlands 2, would you recommend this game? I heard good about the first game but read that B1 didn't have much of a story to it. So is the story in this game any better or are the dialogues on good? And how about the mini stories in the side quests? I don't like a RPG with no sense of story :p

Then why does this game has such good reviews everywhere? I'm sure that combat alone can't get this game such high scores :s. Are the side quests at least any fun?

why does call of duty ghost has good reviews?people seems to like it somehow even if it is more of the same,.
I didnt like B1, it is a game designed to play it co-op with some friends and shot shot and shot B2 is more of the same, the story is really really thin and the gameplay is very repetitive but that is just me, I'm not into that kind of games, again if you didn't like B1 chances are you are not gonna like B2 either because it is more of the same basically .

Oops, Ubi does it again. Splinter Cell Pack aka Elite Echelon Edition is not discounted further... Of course on Uplay every game is at 75%off. And only the first SC is on GOG.
