Hmmm, what to do, what to do? Dark Souls PtDE is unlikely to drop lower than -66%. But if I get it, that'll be the end of most of my spare time for the holidays.
O-o-oh o-oh o-oh, all the choices we make, all the meaningless and empty... wait, that sounds somehow familiar.

By the way, my thanks to the topicstarter, I was about to go to bed, but you re-introduced me to the notion of insomnia.

haha no problem :) You could always wait till Jan 2, maybe some flash deal will come and the game will be reduced by 80%. Unless you want to play it asap cause 90% of people buy games on sales and play it after 6 months or so xD

gandalf.nho: Was interested in get the last DLC from Dishonored (Brightmore Witches), but again they put a lesser discount relative to the base game...
I know. They think they can trick people into buying the base game with a low price and then milk em with DLC.

Cheapest I've seen it was when it was 6.99 during amazons thanksgiving-cybermonday sale. But I think you can only buy it if your in usa, though it does give a steam key, not sure if steam keys are region locked.

PtDE will be $6.99 again 12/24/2013 to 12/25/2013 on amazon.com.
I don't understand why steam has 2 major sales in a row, with basically the same discounts at both. I bought everything I actually wanted on the previous sale, have no reason to buy anything now.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense.

Zurvan7: Just a reminder for Steam users; the leaked dates were true after all.
Not only the dates, but the repeated discount rates, too. I didn't get anything the last time, won't bother now.

MGS:R is an $11 preorder in RU. Region locked.
Guys there was a leaked email going around with not only the release date, but also about how the last sale and this current sale will be pretty much based on similar prices and discounts.so don't really expect anything too different aside from a larger pool of games. also note if sales from past years are to go buy, you will start to see games repeat on flash or community at some point.check the sale prices with amazon and also certain Ukraine and Brazilian steam traders for cheaper prices. what u see may not always be cheapest.

Oh, I can wait a couple of weeks all right, 'cause once I buy it... "game over" for freshly bought Icewind Dale 2, "it begins" for Dark Souls.

Yep, that's what I see as our region's offer. So presumably it's the best price so far.

Torchlight 2 is on flash sale now: €4.74
Also old fallout games for €4.99 in a bundle
Nothing has appealed to me so far. Everything within my acceptable price range is likely to be in an indie bundle the coming year anyway.

The only non-bundle candidate things that interest me are the Dishonored and Bioshock Infinite DLC, all of which is too expensive even at the sale price, Batman: Arkham Origins, which is cheaper at retail even with the sale price, and The Walking Dead Season 2, which will likely be appearing at retail DRM-free for more or less the same price.

I will say at this point that Steam sales do have to do a fuck-sight more to impress me than GOG sales do - I'm more likely to buckle on GOG with an offer than I am with Steam, but even in a direct value comparison, Steam is faring pretty badly at the moment.

i just got some dlcs for mafia 2 from gmg, don't see anything nice on steam yet.
I picked up the Carpe Fulgur pack (Recetter, Chantelise, Fortune Summoners) - are these games set in the same universe / time line? Is there an advantage to playing them in order?
Cheers

No. They're all separate.

Ah OK, reading the blurb for Chantelise, the part where it said:
"and in their travels they come across a particular town, which is home to a number of nearby ruins, as well as a peculiar shopkeeper named Aira"
I'd assumed that the shopkeeper, Aira, was the main char from Rescettear but, apparently she's actually called Rescett (kinda makes sense I suppose) - they must just have a thing for shopkeepers!
