mushy101: It's a good port, if you can out up with GFWL.. I think it's one of the latter GFWL titles that has the 14 time activation limit. Plus you HAVE to be online for first time activation. Best to check with other sources.
avatar
ChrisSD: What about now that GFWL is basically dead?
Well, pubs have already been stripping out the GFWL of thier games. Dirt 2 or 3 has it removed, and so has the batman games. Ultimately it's up to capcom to choose what games get the green light to fall back on steam drm only.

Pheace: If you have cards, didn't you already buy a game at a price you considered reasonable?

Also, don't forget the people who made the game get money from the market as well.
avatar
Chandoraa: Sure, at times they DO earn their money, and at those times I'm happy to throw it their way. My point still stands though. However, if developers also benefit from the trades (do they?), then maybe I should reconsider the whole thing and put those suckers on the market... whenever I care enough to spend my time on that rather than games :-P.

avatar
Zurvan7: Half of the people who still play FF are old school gamers who grew up with FF4 or wannabe Japanese fanboys.
avatar
Chandoraa: No offense, but whoever played the old school FFs and yet still plays anything newer than FFXI should really raise the bar on his/her expectations.
It takes minutes putting up a whole swathe of cards on the market, and as long as they are listed at a reasonable price, they'll sell. Be it in a day or week.

You don't have nothing at all to lose by selling the cards, since you have no use for them anyway. Heck, I saved a bunch of money already on buying games I wanted to own and play.

real.geizterfahr:
Tomb Raider is now $5 on amazon and I'm thinking about picking it up. But I'm not sure because action games are not necessarily my favorite games. For example I found Assassin's Creed extremely boring and difficult :D.

avatar
Zurvan7: For those interested, Red Alert 3 is on Steam flash deals :)

The entire C&C franchise is $5 on amazon. I think I'll pick that up instead :)

Too bad you can't pay with paypal/paysafecard on amazon :( Tnx for sharing though ;)

IF you mean TR 2013 then you will have a blast brother. The game is linear and 12-15h long but it has great cinematic and it is one the best looking game of 2013. Also with the latest patches, this game runs really good on pc and is really well optimized ;)

Yes I mean Tomb Raider 2013. Do I need any of the DLCs to enjoy the game or just the base game?

Tomb of the Lost Adventurer is the only one, that adds to the singleplayer of the game. It adds a few tombs where you can puzzle through - nice, would recommend but certainyl isn't needed.
Everything else is multiplayer only. Be it maps, weapons or skins. How much you need these, you'll have to answer yourself. :)

Even without the lost adventurer you don't miss anything, it's like 1 extra tomb that you visit and finish in 10 minute. Ok it's larger than the rest but totally not worth the money imo. You could have bought the older games like anniversary, legend etc with that money when it was 80% off. The rest of the DLC's are for the MP portion of the game but I don't think anyone will play that soon, so spare your money on that as well.

I did buy the extra costumes though :p they were nice and only 0.15 cents. (personal preference)

It's really optimized if you have an ATI card because with an Nvidia card the game is really unstable.

yeah they give something free and it's install or lose it. Wonder how many people will spam Steam forums tomorrow cause they didn't read "To claim your L4D2 gift, all you need to do is install it.":s I wonder if you can back up the game though...

Yeah DE seems like such a nice deal. Didn't found a cheaper deal anywhere else :p

I'm glad I haven't bought the C&C collection. It seems that they have some evil always-online DRM. GRRRrrr
Kinda sorta tempted to get Deux-Ex Human Revolution Director's Cut for $5 today, but I already have the original game and the DLC on my xbox350 pile of shame. I'm more likely to play the game on PC (no Achievement pressure) and it seems there are some pretty decent tweaks in this DC ver. Should I re-buy it for the current price?

Also.. Terraria?

Tomb Raider 2013 is.. fantastic.. sort of. As long as you are fully aware it is a complete reboot that keeps ONLY the main character's name and throws everything else out, you would like it. I'd also warn that it is a seriously dark game with some pretty disturbing stuff. Hello Kitty's Rainbow Adventure this is not. Is it worth a Fiver? Yeah, I'd say absolutely. In fact I'm tempted to buy it again just so I can play the superior PC version, as I played it originally on xbox360.
I thought people who already owned the base game could upgrade to Dir Cut for like 4.99 or something. Maybe the option is not available anymore. If you are not planning to play, you could always for the Easter or summer sale :p

The option is available, but they disabled for the promos, to avoid acumulating both discounts
