I hit gold folks, boxed origionals of WC3 (big box on classics release) WC:P on what would appear to be first release, (not 100% sure) and a BOXED Xwing VS Tie Fighter (Dont car what release its MINE)

Any how, it looks like WC will run in Vista

But im getting mixed messages about X VS Tie.

Can any one confirm whether they will run? (Id rather not try emulating)

I don't know about WC games, you might be alright. I don't think you'll get X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter going outside of DOSBOX. DOSBOX was the only way I got it to work.

Player_01: I don't know about WC games, you might be alright. I don't think you'll get X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter going outside of DOSBOX. DOSBOX was the only way I got it to work.

Im going to try it but if not can you give me a dumb shits guide on how to do it pls, (dos box is like chinese to me :-()

No problems.

Try it out first and let me know how you go. If you have no luck I, or probably most of the people on these forums, can give you a hand to get DosBox up and running. It's really not that hard once you understand it.

Well it worked, its unplayable with my Joystick though (Saitek Cyborg 3D rumble force) panning up and down is fine, left and right... near imposible.

Lets try WC:P

WC:P works, same issue with the joystick, may buy a shitty old one and a gender bender connecter to usb...

Congrats.

I never really got that into XvT but I love Wing Commander titles.

If we could just get Freelancer on GoG I'd be very very happy.

XvT is a Windows 95 game..

Not sure on Vista\7 but it works fine in XP with compatibility set, no extra patches needed.

Compatability set for win 98, 256 colour and 640*480 and it worked.

Vista 32bit (I know dont be hating)
