Any chance of seeing the whole series one day here?
I would buy them without a second thought. I have 3-4-5 on discs (though not sure where lol), but from what I remember they had issues running at all on modern systems/OSes.
Heart of Tiger and Price of Freedom above all my favourites.
Wishlist.

Thanks, but voting won't do any good if whoever has their rights don't even consider it. (I am not saying that that is the case)

Ah well, at least SOMEONE wants it. And we know that.
It's an EA property. So it has as much of a chance as the rest of their back catalogue. In other words: none.

I'm sure we'll see this series eventually arrive (somewhere).
If Lucasarts demonstrate big profits for releasing old favorites digitally, others will follow.
I'd love to play those games again :)

At least it's not Activision property. We might get a chance of seeing EA here, since they are showing signs of improvements. Activision? The devil welcomes douchebag Kotick with open arms.

Why the hate against Activision?

trusteft: Why the hate against Activision?

That fact that Bobby eats babies not enough? They are pretty much the worst games publisher around at the moment. Jacking up prices, making poor quality licenced games, selling bucketloads of peripherals you only need for one game. Need I go on?

trusteft: Why the hate against Activision?

A question that can only be asked by someone who knows nothing of the company or anything related to it.

EA remove their DRM from Steam and take it to Impulse instead. Not so much an improvement as a migration. Especially not an improvement in the UK where EA doesn't exist at all on the DD circuit. People read too much into EA's supposed improvements.
It's purely a PR exercise. You only need to glance at the issue to see that their mindset hasn't changed one iota. They take the DRM out of C&C 4. They require constant internet access to play the damn thing. Where's the improvement? That's worse than Steam.

I disagree. It's impossible to welcome yourself with open arms.

So, is anyone actually going to reply why the hate against Activision instead of "funny" comments?
Jacking up prices? Like what? Poor quality licenced games?? are you kidding me? Name one company that hasn't screwed up once.
peripherals for games? Like what? Rock band type of games? You mean grown ups actually buy these Klaxx wannabes?
Navagon, I actualy buy Activision games since the original Test Drive (while my playing games of them go even further back to Pitfall). Nice of you to tell me I know nothing about them, because, you know me so well and all that.
As far as I am concerned Activision are not better or worse than any other major publisher, EA, Take2 etc they all have their good and bad moments.

Activision has stated that they are not interested in games which they can't produce yearly sequels to, which is among other things why they cancelled Brutal Legend. Then, of course, they sued to try and prevent a competitor from picking it up.
With the Vivendi-merger they showed their true colors by dropping virtually all the interesting Vivendi-properties (World of Conflict, Ghostbusters, Brutal Legend, ...) and keeping only the safest, most generic and least interesting properties the company had. And Blizzard.
Activision-boss Bobby Kotick has also said that he considers a marriage with gambling to be the holy grail for gaming (not surprising, as he used Vegas-money to get into power in the company), and that his aim over the last ten years has been to "take all the fun out of game development", in order to focus only on profit.
Activision represents everything that is wrong with the games industry today, and unlike the other major publishers they are proud of it.
Your other examples are at least trying to be something else. EA are publishing many risky and interesting projects, with a serious focus on quality. Take-Two are starting to support indies as well. Activision? Naah. They couldn't care less.
BTW, Test Drive was from Accolade and the Activision that created and published Pitfall was in practice a completely different company. Only the name remains from that era.

Buying from a company and knowing that company are two different things. Just ask the customers of Mrs. Lovett's pie shop.

Test Drive was never published or developed by Activision, rather it is an Accolade (and now Atari) game :)
