It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

A lot of people find it intrusive, but I consider the secunia PSI application to be one of the most valuable tools I have to defending against threats.

It DOES scan your entire PC for applications and send results away for all it's found. In return, it tells you which of your installed applications are vulnerable. If you try it, I can be almost sure you won't get 100% secure on your first run.

Anyone who manages to hit 100% secure is the sort of person that should be in charge of the world's internet protection services. Everything has to have some sort of entry and break possibility to it. And if you've got 100% wpegg.... Holy crap why haven't you started charging money yet for this?

I'm not suggesting it is 100% secure. I'm suggesting it is (within their records) 100% up to date. I am further suggesting that this is a good target.

They're firefox extensions and they're a way of preventing infections. Ultimately, once you download something to your computer it's too late. Antivirus software helps, but ultimately there are some pretty sneaky tricks out there that get used.

Personally,I'm more concerned with malware being downloaded via javascript from some random website.
