So it's even hit the papers already. Pardon my ignorance, but did we just got 7. So plough the microsoft.

Edit: Win 7 is not bad but it not differ much vista.. when it was servicepacked enough.
Fastest still is xp but nowadays it's the few games that puts technology forward. And that's their scheme.

i have a ps3 now and have been raging out all year, being unable to play mgs3 on it, but e3 -> konami announced the mgs hd collection for ps3 so there is hope it will be on the pc too

Poulscath: ScummVM is cross platform and already runs on ARM systems.
I think Dosbox has ports to other CPUs but performance could be a problem.
I bet ScummVM and DOSBox for Windows8/ARM will be available before the OS goes RTM (soon after a public beta is released).

That indeed is sweet for those of you fotunate bastards.=) Doesn't include solid 1 but some kind of psp game. If I owned ps3.. I would so buy that and of course MGS 4 and red dead remption.
If some game/series is put tears or a rock in my eye. it would be that series.

That sucks that they're bascially forcing more money out of people to play that game on PC/on ps3 vs ps2....but what can we do?

they said they will be giving the code to redeem mgs1 from the psn store, when the mgs collection is brought, its confirmed for japan so far

btw wth they are integrating LIVE completely into windows 8 :O that will surely repel most of the gfwl haters away from the os

yeah they pretty much took out the ps2 support on the slim ps3 :X sony will pay hell if they dont re-release the devil may cry series too

i owned in a time ps1 and ps2 those handheld-gameboystyles "consoles I don't like. I don't wanna play greatest game series in a cellphone. =P
But If witcher 2 is pretty consolish, I don't see reason why wouldn't they release it also for PC. but hardly. I'm not made of gold!
I got a friend who had Gamecube version of solid 1 remix. nice one. but indeed camoon. I don't have the money to buy all consoles and I like my Pc flatscreen.

Meant.. witcher 2 is consolish so they should finally release metal gear series to pc.

Sielle: There won't be much work that needs to be done unless you want to run them on an ARM processor. I don't see them bothering to add that functionality unless DosBox and ScummVM do it themselves.

True SCUMMVM runs on pretty much everything. The point I was trying to make was that GOG wouldn't add support themselves that it would take the other teams to do so.

MGS series is easily still the one of the best games ever created. And it should be denied by platform bases.

The Gameboys/DSi/etc can be fun for older RPGs and such though.......I just wouldn't want to play some games like FPS on them for obvious reasons.

i got tired of waiting for them to release the mgs games on the pc and bought the ps3 console mainly for mgs 4 but it has its other uses too.....
the gamecube version of mgs was awesome

Metal Gear 1 and 2 were released for the MSX2, which was a home computer. MGS 1 and 2 both had Windows releases. I beleive the reason 3 and 4 were't released on PC were that they require analog button pushes for certain things in other wordss push button harder does something different than if you push it lightly.

I know that there's a difference with metal gear and metal gear solid. But nowadays many own xbox360 controller for driving games or whatnot.. but witcher 2 (in first I prefer indeed mouse and keys) combat feels better with a controller than first one, never I would have used controller in first. So it wouldn't be a huge difference.

Edit: I even had in my computer controller which was identical with ps2-controller but I gave it my brother.
haa.. I turned this forum again about Metal Gear.
But if any of you havent tried old school game which was also kojimas game. Snatcher was a good game felt a bit like textadventure but it was good.
