Just a little notification for all those Windows 7 users... SP1 is out now, and you can use Windows Update to update your installation. ;)
Unexpected. In my experience there's nothing that really needs fixing. Any word on the changes?
I just spent about as much time as I feel is necessary Googling and didn't come across any list of changes that actually affected me... the longest list was like three bullets long and one of the bullets was that we probably already had most of the updates from Windows Update.

Thanks. Looks like I shouldn't touch it will a bargepole.
Can somebody put this shit in layman's terms?

I said you should! So what's it going to be. It's always a good idea to install a service pack for maximum compatibility with all future software and updates. Do it!

Don't trust Navagon! He wants to trick you, lead you into a dark alley, and do bad things to you!

Disclamer: I have not been tricked by him, nor have I experienced those bad things.

I'm not necessarily saying you shouldn't. What I'm saying is that the page KavazovAngel linked to listed many end user problems caused directly by installing SP1. My copy is working fine so I really, really don't need to be taking any chances with it.

I'm going to turn off updates, leave it a few months and let them patch out the kinks first.
