I realy liked the original, but I don't see much need for a remake, unless they put a great deal of new content in it. I would rather they made a totally new game and made the old one available on virtual console.
Edit: A new game is on it's way. And that's great. I still don't feel that a remake is what I'm craving for though.

Aside from Wind Waker, we already found out they couldn't make a decent one when they released Majora's Mask.

cosminm: I still have my Wind Waker on the Gamecube. Great game, happy to see it ain't forgotten. Also as the other gentlemen pointed out,a Metroid Prime remake would be welcomed as well.

gameon: It still feels like yesterday when it was first released. 2002 wasn't it? Not long enough to forget about, and i bet it still looks and plays great. (apart from the tedious sailing, because the wind changed every few seconds...grr)
The wind NEVER changed unless you changed it yourself, unless that's what you're referring to. Otherwise I have no idea what you're talking about.

As long as they don't mess up the cel-shading too much...

Still, it's not a killer app to me. Details on the next Super Smash Bros. will be what will make the Wii U feel relevant in my mind.

I'm personally more interested in Monolith Softs Wii U title and Bayonetta 2. But Smash Bros is something else I'm looking forward to.

Hesusio: That said, I'm very apprehensive about this. Wind Waker, being remade by post-Gamecube era Nintendo. It seems very likely that waggle controls or some other nonsense end up in the game.
Been playing Prime 2 as part of the Trilogy for Wii. I am surprised at how good the controls are. No bullshit waggle. Wish I could say the same about some of the other games I've played, like Madworld.

I wonder if that is just because the game was originally made for the GC though and Prime 3 developed with the Wii in mind has a bunch of waggle....

Also, as SirPrimalForm said, will probably use the tablet thus if anything would throw poking in.
