Now that Outcast was released I was hoping to see what the new #10 item was in the list but it still shows Outcast. It would be nice if you guys could take released games out of the wishlist, or least out of the top 10. Also it would be nice to see beyond the top 10. Of course releasing these great old games should be first priority but these additions to the wishlist are something I would really like to see.
I'm hoping they'll have made the wish list more navigable when they update the site. Don't bank on them removing anything though. There's a lot on there that shouldn't be.

At least let us see the top 25.
Perhaps they could leave clean up to a few trusted users.
IIRC, the GOG guys did say that wishlist "enhancements" would be part of a future site update. Whether than means the upcoming (before the end of the year) "GOG 1.0" update or Wiki-like user control of it, no one knows. As for the fact that Outcast is still on the top 10, that really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Every game that GOG sells is on the wishlist somewhere and worse yet, people are still voting for them.

That would be a start.

I think we should have forum moderators before we have wishlist cleaners. Also, I think we should have a more navigable wishlist before we task anyone with sorting it out.

I could help with that.

Nooo no moderators. It's been mostly good without. :)
GOG is always there for the extreme cases...
Yeah, no particular order.

As GOG grows that's going to be increasingly impractical. Moderators won't turn this into another Steam forum, demanding worship of GOG. I doubt GOG staff want that any more than we do. They'll just be regular members who can deal with spam and the like.

As long as they don't ask Weclock to moderate... just the thought of that gives me the willies.

Why make it a fixed list at all? Why not just let us sort the entries according to the number of votes they have? *BAM* Instant top 10,000+ list.

I was thinking of more, uh... level headed people. :P

There are a number of ways they could sort it out. Any number of them are better than what's there now.

And it's not even difficult to do. It's standard functionality to be able to click on any column name and sort the list of results according to that. GOG just hasn't chosen to invest any time in revamping the wishlist yet. Which is their prerogative, of course.

Well, I think that right now it's just an extra means of enticing publishers and of course reducing the number of 'I want this game' threads posted here.
