I hope (for my wallet's sake) that there won't be a summer sale :P. But it probably will happen next week.

This Month will be tough with both the Steam and the GOG summer sale just around the corner. o.O

I have to admit that as a new user I'm still a huge fan of sales, as I haven't grabbed all the games I want to play yet. I actually feel like a bit of a jerk about it, as I used to drop $60 all the time on console releases. But then I start GoGging, and not only are the games super cheap, but there are constant insane sales. Should I buy NWN2, Conquistador and Temple of Elemental Evil at full price to support GoG and the devs? Yes, I should damnit... but GoG's got me conditioned to expect those games to be an even BETTER deal soon! And in the meantime, I can always play the last game I'd been wanting that I grabbed.

On the bright side, I've picked up a few games I never would have grabbed, either on sale or in trades, and been overwhelmed at how great they are. Games like Miasmata and Aarklash were fantastic. Thankfully I've managed to keep my backlog to a minimum, as I've always been a one or at max two game person. Of course that was helped by having one of the massive RPGs being a bit "lackluster" for me... after all these years of wanting and we never "clicked." Sort of like pining after a high school sweetheart only to date in your 20s and find out you have nothing in common. Anyway, this has turned a bit rambling...

So, GoG... can we maybe get Conquistador next week? ;)

tburger: Sales are not as interesting for me as they used to be. I would rather be snowed under classic releases than overwhelmed by great promos.

Just looking at my wishlist there are only a few games I would plan on picking up

Journeyman Project series, Broken sword 5, Harvester, Samaritan Paradox and the best game ever Jack Keane 2 would be the only ones

Well, personally I can't wait ! :-) I found recently many games in the catalog I didn't know were there and now my wishlist is bigger than ever. Plus, I love seeing (and taking advantage of) those sweet-sweet discounts ! (that's in the human nature I guess-to be lured by discounts, that is...) :-)

I can understand you! I had the bad idea of searching through the catalog in detail... and now my whislist is so immense that I would need three screenshots to post it! :)

No official confirmation (as usual), but we go by the date of the 2 previous Summer Sales that both occurred in 18 June.

A sale would be nice, but even if gog doesn't do anything for the rest of the month I'd still be content. I'm still not over the Simcity 4 release =)
