Paul_cz: I would love to buy MGS 1 and 2 here.
avatar
lychee: 1 and 2 would work, they're on windows so it wont be impossible.
avatar
Paul_cz: I would probably also buy Silent Hill 1-3 (yes I know the fist one came out on psx, but I finished it on PC via emulated version made by some fans that looked like native windows release).

I'd like to see a port of silent hill 1 but that won't happen with konami remaking it on wii,ps2, and psp.

I know MGS 1 and 2 work on the PC, I finished them both on my WinXP SP3 based PC several times. They are great.
SH 1 works great as well, the fanmade version - good controls, graphics a little better than on psx, gameplay great.

Miaghstir: ...the only thing FIFA has going for it is more licensed team/player names.

It is nothing that a community patch couldn't fix.
Actually there are many Konami PC games which I want on my GoG for the simpel reason because they are classic old and good.
Silent Hill
Silent Hill 2: Director's Cut
Silent Hill 3
Metal Gear Solid: Integral
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
Shadow of Destiny/Shadow of Memories
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Castlevani
Super Contra
Suikoden
Suikoden II
Jackal
Bloodwych
Batman Returns
Vandal Hearts
Gradius Deluxe Pack
Frogger: The Great Quest
Policenauts
Plan 9 from Outer Space
Rush'n Attack
And countless Arcade games
Dammit, I didn't know Konami was really porting friendly til 2004. You must be blind not to see the many classics I posted.

Necroed much?
Anyway, the simple fact that they're a console-centric Japanese publisher makes it very unlikely. Sure it would be good to see some of their hard to get titles on GOG, but we've almost got more chance of seeing Valve here.

Navagon: Necroed much?

Well, what do you know, we should look up what next month will be. Konami or Ubisoft?
Konami on GOG? No thank you.
I love Konami games (Silent Hill is one of my favorite series), but there's really no point in playing SH or MGS on the PC - horrible, horrible ports. Konaim is a console publisher/developer, first and foremost.
The only Konami game that would make some sense on GOG would be Shadow of Destiny/Memories, but even that is a longshot.
(However, anyone with a gaming history absolutely *needs* to play SH2, one way or the other. It's obligatory.)

AlexY: horrible, horrible ports.

Partly agree, partly disagree. SH2 had the cutscene lagging(but GoG could fix that), SH3 was a clean port, so does MGS and MGS2(just so damn huuuuuuge), well, I loved all 4 games and are considered as classics...

You said you hated number 4 of the series XD. Konami will never jump on the GOG wagon. They are a console company and are more likely to re-release their work in digital form on console networks or make bundle packs like the God of War games.

Actually, MGS2 was a horribly bad port :p. Tried to give it a shot a year or so back, nigh unplayable on ATI cards and/or modern systems.
MGS1 worked pretty well though.

Yes, but MGS 4 was a PS3 game. MGS2 was a good PC game if you ask me.
I would want Konami here, only for the Metal Gear series.
But for GOG it would be good to have real soccer games, and that's it. Nothing more worth of having for the PC platform.

Ninja Turtles and Dance Dance Revolution, that's all I care for.
Wait, Konami developed titles past the old Nintendo Entertainment System days? Is there a PC version of the original Contra?!?!

From older PC-Systems, yes.
