Wishbone: I bought a Silent Hill game once, just to see what all the fuss was about. It was extremely weird and extremely boring. I think I played it for about an hour, then uninstalled it. It was The Room, by the way.
I've also seen the movie. The whole thing screamed "Console game!". Also very weird and very boring.

To be quite honest The Room is definitely not the best choice for an entry into the series, but if you ever decide to take another stab at it try to get your hands on SH2, it's largely considered the best of the series.
As for Konami joining GOG, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to get nice DRM-free installers for my beloved Silent Hill series, however Konami doesn't seem to care that much about the PC gaming audience and largely releases for nothing but consoles nowadays. I'm not holding my breath.
Silent Hill is the scariest game ever.
It freaking rules.
Silent Hill 2 is enough.
remember to visit the wishlist...

This.
Most Konami games that I fondly recall are on consoles, like the old Genesis (Tiny Toons)

they may be fine in Italy, but not here, so it'd be nice to have a place to buy such games legally.

It isn't legal in Italy, but I don't give a damn. I don't hold breath to wait for some moron in the industry to understand the potential business behind this kind of things. They can go to hell or die, I will be still here playing for my own, private pleasure. End of the story.

I'm not so sure hes willing to form a educated opinion about the the silent hills that came before SH4 the room, even though those game were 100 times better then the room.

I might be, but only if I happen across it somewhere. I'm not going to go out of my way to look for a game that maybe won't even run on my Vista64 machine, and that I have no indication I'm going to like.
Like I said, I'm not generally into Japanese games.

I don't want to sound as if I'm calling you morally bankrupt, but I can't morally agree to doing the same thing. Good for you for doing it, but many of us can't agree to it.
