Does marking your own post as a solution actually increase your rep? If it doesn't, no harm, but if it does... oh man, why did you have to do this? I dread the similar threads popping up just to stroke their own rep. ಠ_ಠ

Hm, I really should have made a note of my rep before I accepted the answer. I don't think it's changed much if at all. How much rep do you get? Just one or two points? And does anyone really care about it? :P
