Am I the only one who doesn´t give a f**k about hardware specs or Graphics as long as the game itself is awesome? I had more fun with my Wii than with my 360, and I had the Microsoft machine for a much longer time. I thought that most people here wouldn´t care that much about the graphics since most of us here are gamers from the old days who still play the old games wich, of course, have much worse graphics.

I agree entirely and am still holding out hope that the next Xbox and Playstation are lower in specs than rumored because I don't want to spent two grand upgrading my computer and don't care much about improving graphics past Crysis levels.

That said it's still a problem that Nintendo made a big deal about the WiiU being good for ports and multiplatform games when that will only be the case for 6-12 months.

SirPrimalform: If you read the article you'd see the conclusion is that it's overall about as good as the other current consoles, it just goes about it a different way.

Pheace: Which is sad really. That's like 8 year old hardware?
And the x86 architecture is how old now?

I don't see what's sad about being as powerful by going about it a different way.

anjohl: The xbox CAN do games with alternate control, the WII HAS to. BIG difference.
Right, because the classic controller was just a dream I had last night.

OmegaX: Just an FYI: I read on other forums that the hacker that published this got the data while the Wii U was in Wii mode. It is known that the 3DS underclocks itself while running in DS mode so it may be the same case with the Wii U. Apparently, they have been able to run homebrew code in Wii mode only at this moment.
It's incredibly likely that it underclocks itself. I know that the DS underclocked one of its processors (and didn't use the other) in GBA mode and the GBC underclocked itself in GB mode. It's highly likely the Wii underclocks itself in GameCube mode (although this is one I'm not sure about).

Who says that you need to upgrade your machines? My PC isn´t the newest one, but I never had trouble running anything. At the moment I play Metro 2033, I maxed it out, but I need to lower the resolution to 1280x720 to have a framerate that is always playable, same thing goes for the Battlefield 3 SP and lots of other newer games, and I don´t feel the need to upgrade anything. I can play my games and watch my BluRay Movies without any trouble on that thing and I don´t care that much if I need to lower the resolution and / or some graphical details.

I wasn't criticising it, Anjohl doesn't seem to think it exists though.

I'm not actually that much of a fan of the Classic Controller, much prefer the GC controller but it's wrong to say that there's no normal controller for the Wii.

We're talking about when the new machines come out, dude. If they have the specs several sites have rumored they do then we're talking 8GB of RAM and a brand new GPU, plus a damn good CPU and SSD storage.

I have 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 2 year old GPU (GTX 480) and a 4-5 year old CPU (Q9550). I would surely need to upgrade to run things at a good resolution and framerate. Do you remember Oblivion?

Well if they have higher specs it will drive up requirements for games ported to PC which is why i'm hoping they stay lower specs
So, did the terrible graphics of Wii U launch titles bring this complainging on?

I mean the games look pretty darn good to me, especially when they're launcg titles of a system the devs don't fully know yet. And apparently some of them run in fullHD, which is something PS3 and 360 don't do.

GaminggUy45: I'm sure first party games will be killer third party will be anyone's guess
Party games! Yeah! But don't forget to mention second party games which are generally better than third party games, some of them may even beat some first party games!
