I guess that's North Americans getting the raw deal for once. Normally, with regional pricing, here in the UK (and presumably in mainland Europe too) we pay a lot more for games than you guys. But here, because the pricing is based on USD, it's actually cheaper than buying it elsewhere in GBP (or EUR). Games that are available on both GOG and Steam are typically about £1-2 cheaper on GOG, or around $2-3.
