tarangwydion: Why only suggested Prince of Persia 1 & 2? I take it there is really no love left for Prince of Persia 3D? Or perhaps there simply was no love for it to begin with? Why? It's not that bad, is it? :-)
It's not that bad, after all, it's just that PoP 3D was clumsy and slow while Tomb Raider had already become the "Prince of Persia" of the first "true" 3D generation of home (action/platforming/adventure) gaming. I liked the game anyway, but I have a thing for the entire PoP stuff so....

Gremmi: I may be incorrect, but I think the original is hidden in Sands of Time as an unlockable. That was the case in the console versions, but it could have been removed from the PC version.
On the PC version it's just the first level, and frankly it sucks compared to the original one in 2D....

To be honest, I love PoP 3D. Probably due to me loving the first Tomb Raiders. The only problem I have with it is that the game crashes quite often (it crashes at cutscenes if you have a recent version of Quicktime). I heard Ubisoft released another version that's supposedly more stable (at least according to my pal on youtube elbryan42 who did a full walkthrough). I hope this version will get released on GOG.
there has to be some regulation as to which games are accepted onto gog though? otherwise why use gog over steam. I thought gog was setup specifically for older good games that arent really available anywhere else. So i see no reason why certain games are on the list and why prince of persia1-2 hasnt been added to the list. :(
I never played the third in the trilogy because I hated the second one so much, but Sands of Time is amazing.

Tantrix: Ubisoft bought up Borderbund, so they have the right of the entire series and anything Mechner made. It's up to Ubisoft to release them. Same with other Borderbund titles.

Wishbone: Just because I'm a pedantic nitpicker, I'm going to point out that the developer is called Brøderbund, not Borderbund.
My keyboard is unable to do that letter.

Selling sands of time is hardly a bad thing, it gives people a choice.

GOG can't sell Prince of Persia 1+2. If they could they would be selling it already. Well, I'm pretty sure they would :P

^ It looks like the rights might be a mess, so maybe we'll never see it. The sad truth for a number of oldies. (I could be wrong though)

All right then, Bröderbund, or just Broderbund, but not Borderbund.
I remember around that time one of my brother's friends had pet dogs named Brøderbund and Borland.
