There is one game I want in April: Portal 2. There is one game I want in June: Alice: Madness Returns

There are freaking 10+ games I want in May:

Duke Nukem Forever
Lego Pirates of the Caribbean
Might and Magic Heroes VI
The First Templar
The Witcher 2
Brink
Fable 3
FEAR 3
Dungeon Siege 3
Hunted: The Demon's Forge
Red Faction Armageddon

WHY gaming companies? Why do you do this? What this means is 5 or so of these will get put off until later when they are cheaper. That is bad for you, one assumes. WHY WHY WHY WHY?
Take my advice, wait to get Fable 3 until you have someone to play co-op campaign with. It makes it way better. It's already pretty good as Fable games go. The co-op is literally one of the best drop in co-op implementations I've played.

EDIT: Hunted will probably be the first game I'll pre-order so far this year. I only pre-ordered 3 all of last year, so I don't give that (dubious) honor to many games. I'm really pumped for it.

It's the coming of the new harvest!
Dances around the May Pole.
Sacrifices in the Wickerman
and tons of new video games in between!

Gorging on delicious bounty, not to mention skimpy outfits, yes, this is awesome:)

Phallic symbol, I approve.

Sex is better than killing, don't get this one.

'nuff said about these, I love culture.
Apathy will go a long way at removing this problem for you. Once you realize that the only game you need to get in May is Witcher 2 and the rest of the games will probably suck and you can't be bothered to even think about them, you'll realize that May is just like April and June.

Since there's a huge playerbase that's played Fable 3 already, this question can already be answered for it with more than a "probably."

I do find that watching Yahtzhee lambaste a few games on Zero Punctuation makes my desire to open my wallet for any new games much lower. I know the OP already watches Zero Punctuation, so I might suggest a marathon viewing a month in advance to take care of pre-orders and another during June to avoid impulse purchases:)

Well that is exactly what will happen... I'll get The Witcher 2, Duke Nukem Forever and Dungeon Siege 3 and wait on everything else.

My point is more: don't these companies want me to NOT do that? I would think so. So why do they schedule their games in a packed month? Shit, not only is there nothing in June other than Alice there is literally NOTHING in July, at all, that I want. That anyone wants, really.

It's just a shame.
Complete guess here, but maybe it has something to do with school kids' summer vacation starting at the end of May or early June. Gotta hook 'em in early.

Yeah, it's like the "gotta get the game out for Christmas no matter what" mentality. I've never understood it. Not only does it frequenly result in broken/buggy/unfinished games being released (like KotOR2), lowering the reputation of the publisher/developer, but it also means that they have to compete with all the others who think the same way.

StingingVelvet: The Witcher 2
In May I want this. For the rest... hmm.. I'll wait for GOG to have them, there is no rush for me to get them "at once" or even just to get them.

;)
For me it's easy, the only game I'm definitely getting on that list is Duke Nukem.
And that's because I want that Balls of Steel package :P
Hunted might be interesting, but probably not interesting enough unless it goes on sale.
My friends very rarely game these days and I want it for the co-op.
I might get RF, The Witcher 2 and Dungeon Siege sometime when they go on sale.. and if the reviews are positive.
Fable 3 I've already finished twice on my 360 like a year ago, so no thanks.
And there ya go, cheap month.
Definitely getting The Witcher 2. Preordered the Collector's Edition, and will buy from GOG a bit later.

Although, I kind of want the extra three papercrafts in the Nordic Premium Edition... I'm not going to buy the game three times though, CE+GOG will have to be enough.

The only 2 that I'm really looking forward to are DNF and Witcher2

The other ones...I honestly fail to find anything interesting abotu them that interests me

And Avoid Fable 3 - it's just a bad game and somehow even worse than 2 (if you can believe that)
The only games I must buy out of that list are Witcher 2, DNF, Dungeon Siege and Hunted. The rest I can happily wait for TBH.
Nothing special about May, only 2 games that spark any intrest.
Duke Nukem and maybe Witcher (depends on system req).

edit: looks like no witcher 2 for me, that leaves only DNF.
