I had been using Firefox for a while and had nothing but problems with it. I don't care what anyone says, I'm here to tell ya; GAMETAP DOES NOT LIKE FIREFOX!!! I had problems on many other sites as well.
I've since gone back to good old IE8 and since then, I've had no hassles with any other site. Just this one.
A mystery.

rayven998: While the problem could very well be on my end, it certainly isn't my cookies/cache or junk files. The last thing I do before turning my system off every night is to clear them. I then have my Advanced System Care run a scan to clear out all the surfing traces, junk files and registry errors (my gf does the same every time she's done going online. We're both pretty AR about that).
Gametap is still in beta and I have absolutly no problems navigating around over there. Any ideas what else it could be?

GOG has been slow on a couple of occasions for me. During the first day of the Interplay 1 year old promo, it pretty much died utterly. Is it always that slow for you or is it just during traffic spikes?

Because GOG is still in beta! :o)
I am not sure what would really change if they took the word beta off the site, but in due time it will be gone and then there will be a new thread for that event as well.

There is absolutely no way any website should take 3 minutes to load a page.
Your browser would, and should, return a "Connection Timed Out" error message, or "Connection reset" message long before that.
What times does this "lag" occur? Through the day? evening? night? After midnight?
What OS and browser?
Do you run adblockers?
Or blacklists utilities?
What firewall and AV (including anti-malware/-adware/-spyware are you using?

They should stop the Beta but go into Gamma, if for no reason other than its another G

We just don't feel that our site is fully completed and that it works in every aspect as it should. So there are still biger and smaller improvments in the development. Once they will be completed we'd like to do the grand opening:) For that we also would like to gather bigger game catalog, including some more major releases from top publishers.
I hope that once we do it, you'll enjoy it:)
