tajemniczybeton: Because it pays off. Seen that picture with steam MW2 boycott group with half of its members playing MW2? This is why.
That was beautiful! I loved that screenshot! If I recall correctly it was well over half of them playing.

Wilcovi4: Most of titles of old good games becomes to EA. But dont want share with thoose games (it strange, why DK1-2 is GOG, but other games are not).
EA has released a lot of great classic games on GOG. They don't even sell them themselves on Origin other than Populous last I noticed which was pretty recently.

It seems inappropriate to me to bash EA here when they've been good to this community with classics like the Ultima games, Wing Commander games and other classics.

Ric1987: What EA classics are on Origin but not GOG?
Dead Space 3.Art perfected.
Can't find a single reason to complain on EA as a customer of GOG. They brought huge classic catalog here, their prices are low and games are discounted on regular basis, we got some expansions for free, they kept a tight grip on their IP and never had to withdrew any game. I wish other companies were like them.

What about Neverhood or Black & White. Why this games not at gog or somewhere else?

wpegg: Why Do Hot Dogs Come in Packs of Ten and Buns in Packs of Six or Eight?
But what about this solution here?
Yeah, bunch of assholes working with GOG to give everyone Dungeon Keeper for free.

Cruel, isn't it? Why couldn't they give us a bad game for free instead? You sound as disgruntled with EA as I am.

(though i already did own it, lol)

The sum of the actions does not forgive easily. I'll just say that.
EA is a huge corporation. They've done some jerky things. They've done some awesome things. The goal of all their actions is to make themselves money. Whether something is polite or not doesn't seem to enter too much into it.

GOG.com is a business founded on the theory that treating customers well is the way to make money. That seems to be working out well for them so far. EA on GOG seems to be following suit even if EA elsewhere isn't.

Braussie: But what about this solution here?
It was actually that film that made me make the quote...
I feel like the free Dungeon Keeper is partially because someone there re-realized the value of the classics. Like some people have said, EA is a giga-corporation with different tentacles doing not entirely similar things.

wpegg: Why Do Hot Dogs Come in Packs of Ten and Buns in Packs of Six or Eight?
Solution here:
Imponderables said it first.
you guys are unbelievable... They give you Dungeon Keeper 1 for free and you still call them Aholes? really? Sure they've messed up before in the past but at least be nice enough to thank them first for their giving of a free game...

Now bring on the downvotes for saying something positive about EA...

i won't call them like that, but i''m not naive ;) : it's a marketing way to make some money with other titles ...

but it's well known they really love money above anything all .... giving away DK1 doesn't cost them a lot... really
