While we're here was anyone else a little insulted about the whole color thing? One of the big reasons I loved the first game, and I've seen others mention this too, was the atmosphere and obviously the color palette plays a large role in that. I never was very vocal about it but the dev's dismissive attitude really bothered me as someone who was a huge fan of the series and even the company for a long time. My perception of Blizzard instantly changed and I realized the guys who made the games I loved probably didn't even work there anymore.

Indeed, a quick check at Wikipedia shows the guys who designed the first two games did not design the third.

I don't believe that any of the people that worked on either of the first two Diablo games were still working for Blizzard when they were doing D3. Runic OTOH, does have a fair number of developers from Blizzard that worked on those games, which is probably why TL2 feels so much like what D3 should have been. I know that the composer was clearly the same one that worked on previous Diablo games.

Well, there is some solution to this - it's DarkD3

Even comes with a font thingy that changes the dropped items font to the one similar in the previous games. I've been using it back when i played and got no troubles whatsoever. In fact, if i could be arsed to play again i won't ever play without it. Makes the game look like what a diablo game is supposed to.

It's worth noting the new leveling system post-60 involves stats that effect every one of your characters, so you DO have to plan accordingly.
I bought this hunk of **** at launch full ****ing price. So much for buying a game at launch . Full of disappointment... and not just because of the borked launch.....
