It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Why if I stop my download or lose connection can I not resume it? I keep getting an error that I cannot connect to server due to incorrect username and password. It's most annoying having to start the download from scratch if connection is lost.
Because the download links are not fixed, but change all the time. If you pause the download, you lose the connection to the original filestream, and you cannot reconnect to it because the link is no longer valid. In order to do what you want to do, you have to supply a new download link to the download manager when you resume. I haven't actually tried this myself, but that's what people generally tell others with the same question you have, so I assume that's a possibility in some download managers.

This is due to the current way that GOG authenticate permission to download. If you stop or pause the download (or it's interrupted for any reason), your permission to download is voided.

You may want to try browser download plug-ins. Someone suggested the Firefox plug in "Down Them All" as possibly helping. But I've seen mixed results from many people here.

You might want try searching these forums for "downloader", etc., topics for other suggestions.

Difficult, since that will most likely net him a fuckton of threads complaining about the GOG downloader.
Is the old downloader not available any more? That would have sorted your problem :S
Thanks for the feedback. Coming from Steam as my main source of games downloads I have to say that not being able to pause a download is a seriously stupid idea. I have tried pasting the new link in the dl manager with no luck. *sigh*

In those threads can contain some useful information when alternatives are suggested.

Nope. It didn't work with the new site, so it was removed. They're working on making a new one.

No. There's a sticky topic explaining why it was removed. It's return is TBA.

True.

Possibly some helpful information.

EDIT: Man, they really need to fix the damn "disappearing line breaks" bug when editing and quoting :-(
