Point 1) is a bit far-fetched I think.

Just for the sake of being thorough :
4) having a negative rep ("vicious circle")
5) being careless in the main giveaway/takeaway/tradeaway/ninja threads.
6) being very vulgar.

To be clear, I don't remember anything really wrong in your posts so far. The "country" possibility is an upsetting perspective.

Edit : 3) is the most important though.

If I may direct you to this post from a few days ago: 'GOG codes' thread. I think your rep was actually worse when you took this code? given that you took a gift from the community whilst having extremely poor rep I'm going to say you've probably been identified by the community as a someone who is only here to exploit the generosity of the gifters. By taking the freebie when you have such poor rep you've invited even more derepping. It may seem harsh, but once the damage is done mob rule kicks in and as you've now seen, it's quite difficult to undo and recover your standing.

Also, if you've previously been begging for codes or taking multiple code drops then you most likely have been identified as greedy, perhaps even suspected of being an alt account of another regular beggar. If you were already given a gift and then noticed asking for more, then would cause even faster derepping

As for racism being the cause I don't think it's so much of a factor. There are two conspicuous low reppers that I remember who did the damage to themselves by begging a lot during the Fall Insomnia sale. One from Italy and one from Argentina, neither of those guys have recovered their standing. For those two in question, I think one of them was a bit of a victim of mob mentality, singled out when he wasn't too different than several others. The other guy just kept making things worse so there is not a lot of sympathy for him.

The rep system is somewhat broken and once someone does get a low rated post there does tend to be a bandwagon of more people jumping in to low rate it. The forum experience thread is seeing some ideas posted for modifying the rep system, but at the moment it's the lesser evil - nobody really wants moderators, nor do they want anarchy, so the rep is the only way for this place to police itself.

You could take a break from posting and see if people forget about you and leave you alone when you come back. What I would suggest is, if you're going to do your own giveaways in an attempt to recover, make very sure you give away something that you obtained legitimately. If you try to give away something that somebody else in the community gifted to you, or if you try to giveaway pirate copies of something (it happened in the past) then you'll make your situation far worse.

If that's the case, then whoever's doing the downrepping is a fucking idiot. Most of the people with poor or no rep who take posted gift codes usually don't even bother to say thank you. They just redeem the code as quick as they can (or have their bot/script do it for them) and close the window without giving the forum a second thought.

Venhiem at least had the common decency to say that he took the code and to thank OFG for it.

You might fool others but you aren't fooling me and I hope that people can start to wake up and understand what the concept of social engineering aka scamming is. The basic premise - people will play you when they figure out who you are and what you want in order to get you to give them what they want.
