One of the games I really hope to see on GOG someday is F.E.A.R.! It had a very interesting backstory complete with intense, immersive gameplay! It's one of my favorite FPS games. What do you think?
It's one of my favorite shooters ever, for sure. Might even by my favorite corridor style shooter of all time. Warner is such a relatively small publisher though, not sure how eager they are to spread out beyond Steam.
Definitely, all 3 of them and any extras to go with it.

Mobygames.com says the game was created by Monolith who made Blood and Shogo, both of which are on GOG already. I wonder what are the chances of GOG getting F.E.A.R.
Definitely all 3 (regardless of what people say about 2 and 3). They've been discounted so many times on sales in the past surely it cant be that difficult to bring them here?

I've played F.E.A.R. 2 before and it was ok, but not nearly as good as the first. But I've never played the 3rd iteration. How was it?

Different publishers are involved though, Warner Bros. got the rights to all the FEAR stuff when Sierra collapsed.

Has GOG been in any talks with Warner Bros. by any chance?
Everyone...?

Do you have some kind of knowledge about the rights being less strictly upheld?

F.E.A.R 1 = scary in parts , backgrounds etc were a bit bland but AI excellent.
F.E.A.R 2 = managed to finish -- lots of shooting, less scary, imho best balanced of the series. Oh who doesnt love the mech segments :D
F.E.A.R 3 = Finished it as Point Man. Very very very shooty . Didn't really find it scary at all. Never tried as Fettel. I found it OK.

That's a question for a staffer, not me. Supposedly they contact everyone with a classic to sell though.

Hmmm, it would be a nice if a staffer would drop in this forum to tell us! :)
As a general pattern I find most FPS styled games uninteresting. I have found very few exceptions. The FEAR games are in that very small group. I have played the first one, its stand alone expansions, and the second, all on xbox360. I have the third but as yet have not played it (in no rush, would prefer to play with someone else in co-op, as co-op play very much appeals to me).

Now that the xbox is coming (slowly, but inevitably) to its retirement, I've been re-purchasing the games I really enjoyed on PC just for the option of possibly playing them again at some point. The FEAR games were the first games I bought with this in mind. I bought them on Steam (in a bundle, so I still need to buy the DLC for 2, which is the first title in my steam wishlist and will stay there, as there is no other title on steam I want more).

If these titles came to GOG, I would buy them Again. That would be the third time I have bought them, but I would be happy to do so.
I'd love the first one so I wouldn't have to deal with the discs.
Loved F.E.A.R. and it's two expansions. Now that the Stalker games are here, F.E.A.R. would finish off my mid 2000s favorite FPSes all being on GOG with the others being Serious Sam TFE/TSE.
