maciek: I should warn you not to ever watch "All quiet on the western front" - a great anti-war film (pre-WW2 even) cause its posters can also give you simillar impression ;)

SimonG: If you are trying to be a smartass, you should at least mention that it wasn't a movie originally but a book.

And if you like a game and posters like this, this book (you know books, right?) this is right up your alley

book or movie, that was not the point. I just find in general not buying a really great game because of the cover art a bit.. um, strange.

thanks for the book recommendation although it's totally not my cup of tea

Crassmaster: Terrific little game. One of my favorites from last year.

I do enjoy big strategy games, but lately I've been in more of an action game mood. Really need to get back to Crusader Kings 2, though.

TheEnigmaticT: I haven't tried that one yet, but I've heard good things.
It is very good. You get a grand strategy game that isn't quite as heavy as standard Paradox fare mixed with a system of heirs and family ties being used to bribe, steal and literally stab in the back. It's like the History Channel meets The Tudors.
Crusader Kings 2 rocks. I started as a king of sweden and I already executed all of my brothers because they questioned my authority and caused a few civil wars.

Wanna see something terrifying? Go against the Papacy. There is nothing as horrible to see as a mass of armies coming at you from all of Europe because you pissed off the Pope and he's called for a Crusade against you.

It actually depends. If a pope has a very low authority, and you have a large one for example, you rule the holy roman empire, it's not that bad to go against the Pope.

And as a muslim you may call jihads! :D

True. Of course, I was just some low level nobody in some backwater piece of Spain. So it was pretty much doom for me. :)

I haven't actually played as a Muslim ruler yet. Might have to do that when I finally load it up again.

Don't you want to have 4 wives?! :D
