Anyone heard of it? Indie horror adventure game by Remigiusz Michalski; I think it's even his first. It's absolutely terrifying stuff.

Here's a review if you're too scared to play it (I know I am). http://hardydev.com/2009/07/10/downfall-review/
A very good game. Graphics are somewhat sloppy in places, but a hugely unique atmosphere and an amazing effort for the first game by a one-man studio.
Nice Joe, I see you finally wrote that review :P
Yeah I'm definitely going to be buying Downfall once it hits Impulse. I LOVED the demo.

You want spoilers or not? :)
How is this scary exactly? Did the ugly ass visuals scare the shit out of you people?
Granted I have not tried the demo but my first impressions aren't exactly positive.
I just tried it. Graphics suck, writing...cliche, clumsy ui, weak audio, and its not really scary.
If this were a free adventure game, student game, prototype, etc. I would be much more forgiving but it is def not worth $10.
I bought it when it first came out AND I LOVE IT!!!
The guy is making a new game of which he says he is "20% of completeing". It's called "The Cat Lady" and here is a link for people who want to check it out, http://www.bigbluecup.com/yabb/index.php?topic=39239.0
Edit: Oh the soundtrack that is to come with it is on its game page http://www.harvesterindiegames.com/
/End Edit.
Downfall took him five years to make.
To the people who are slightly aprehensive of trying it out, or buying it, I won't guarantee that you will love it, but it is a thought provoking experience.

I loved it. It wasn't full of scares exactly, but there was always this heavy atmosphere and the feeling that things were just wrong somehow. Some situations were really freaky as well.
Edit: I think I've said this before, but in general the experience reminded me a bit of Dreamweb. Which should be on GOG, BTW.

As much as I want to, I haven't played it pretty much due to the demo not wanting to install. I'm sure I mentioned that in a previous thread about this game.

Think Shalebridge Cradle at the nth degree.

I played the demo and it was interesting but cuts quite short. The random axe maniac was easy to escape from and if that is all the action then I will be fine with it. I do wonder why she didn't bother trying to fight it with the shovel? Though the answer is probably obvious
The axe maniac scene was intense though. It wasn't frustratingly hard, to the point of trial and error like in Silent Hill, but it was good enough so that I nearly yelled when I was trying to search for the door and the maniac was closing in real fast on me.
