As several above, all files are on my external HD. If a new version comes, I keep the old ones as well.
I haven't backed up the most recent additions yet, but usually I do it within a week or so. So yeah, I still got a backup of Dark Fall 2. ;)

paladin181: I know some of you have, but I was wondering, who else here has downloaded all their games on GoG and either backed them up to an external drive or to DVDs?
The question should rather be: Who hasn't?
I have downloaded all of my GOG, DotEmu, Humble, Indie Royale, and Groupees games.

I haven't downloaded any of my Steam games (for obvious reasons...), but then again, I have never bought anything from them either, only redeemed codes from bundles and so on.
I learned my lesson when the site went from beta to 1.0. That, and it gets rid of the notification icon.
i back up my gog games and other games i have on an external 2tb drive , i just play f2p games usaly , but i have a steam account with 50 odd games i spent on which i have uninstalled

djdarko: I think I have all of them backed up on my external HD, but I might just delete them, as GOG does provide a storage service for them. I'll just download a few games at a time as I plan to play them.
how big is the external drive

I have them all backed on a hard disk I keep at my parents'. Every time I get back home, I go through all the updates and download whatever is needed to put the hard disk up to date.

This means I often get 20 or more notifications on the GOG navigation bar, sometimes causing me to not notice new replies or PMs. I'm checking to see if I can manage downloading everything on the go and just copy-pasting updates when I get to my backup HD, that should clear the notification bar a bit.

? Don't understand the question, sorry. But I have almost 700 games on GOG, and get to my backup once every 4 months or so. That's a lot of updates.

Well... I play some, others I played back in the day and I'm just getting the DRM GOG copy for the lulz. Others I just want to have there due to historical reasons or whatever, and finally (and most important) I like having a big array of games to choose from when I want to decide what to play next.

Besides, I exagerate a bit. WIth today's free game, I only have 699 games. I won't hit 700 until Secret Santa drops by.
Usually I do, but last couple of months I didn't, come the new year I will back them all up after this.
I don't have all of my library downloaded, but I do have most of it on my external and internal drives. This is especially true for any game that is going to be removed or receive a potentially game breaking update.
I back up to two external drives as well as my pics and films and such. Tell my clients always back up anything that if your hard drive goes you would never get back. Still get people not listing and then i get my hard drive died i lost everything.

Backing up your games is always a good idea as if your somewhere without the internet you can use the backup to install a game or two.
