(Thread made for curious reasons)

RPGs like Elder Scrolls, Everquest, SWTOR, Dragon Age, etc.

Me well....am I unoriginal, because I always play as a Human Warrior I always named Argronok in these RPGs.

I almost never play as a Elf, Dwarf, Orc, Mage, Rogue, Archer, etc.

I try to vary it as much as possible, to get a different experience each time.

Except for Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, where I always play a Stealth+Archery based character first.

I bought Neverwinter Nights on here almost a month ago, but I still haven't started a game because every time I run it, I get to the character creation and break down with indecision of what type of character to play!
something that can stealth.
A rouge, usually a complete and total dick with no care for human life.

Well I can't help but think you miss out on a lot!

My problem is that I go to the other extreme, and will start the same game 10 times with 10 different characters, and then never actually get anywhere with them...

I don't like your basic warriors or pure healers (clerics / priests) much, but I do enjoy paladins and monks. Also magic-using characters. And stealthy ninja / assassin type characters. And pet-based characters (e.g. hunter and warlock from WoW). You see my problem! I really struggle to just choose one and get on with the game...
Used to be a completely good fighter-type character, usually a dwarf if generic fantasy. These days I've learned to appreciate sneaking classes a bit more, however.

If I've already played through a particular game as a fighter I'll pick an odd-ball build for my next run.
Usually I play with some kind of stealthy assasins, I love daggers and things like that :)
When it come to race, Elfs or Humans, depends how they look. :P
Rogue/Bard/Thief types. Sometimes mages, but as much as I love slinging magic about, I suck at playing them. If Dwarf is available as a playable race, I'll often go for that,
I love charisma characters. Talking my way out :) but since they are only so effective as the world you know, I usually do my first playtrough with a fighter. 2 oposite ways to complete a game, both satisfying :)
Usually as a warrior type that gets up close and hits stuff, though I have a soft spot for hard assed ranged warriors (which are almost never good, though occasionally they end up fun, such as TL2's Outlander).

Since you brought up Dragon Age, I can definitively say that playing a melee warrior was part of why I hated the game so much. It was a horrible pick, the game is much more fun as a mage or other class.

That may be why I liked the game so much. I played a Rogue and they're a ton of fun in that game. Played a mage on another play through and they're pretty fun as well. But Rogues rock in that one.

I never had any problems being a Warrior/Tank in Dragon Age mabye for my first RPG to play as something else I wll go with Dragon Age.

Well, let me be clear, it wasn't "too hard" as much as it was... stupidly boring, at least for myself. At least with the other classes you have something to do... I mean if you want to, if you're a mage you can throw a heal and watch your party do most of the work if you're feeling lazy, but that doesn't prevent and Earthquake and "cloud kill" (whatever it was called) combo if you're feeling active.
Human spellcaster, charismatic if it matters. I usually give him a specific name that roughly means "Tehpwnzor McAwesome".
I'm a fan of magic, so I'm usually a sorcerer, mage, or some kind of a spellsword character, but magic is pretty essential. Plus my character has to be good with words and highly charismatic. As for race, usually human, elf, or half-elf.

Personally I think magic is something that's a lot more customizable than anything else - there are usually many types of magic or spells to specialize in. Therefore I'd much rather manage the mage character myself and get warrior NPCs instead of making those myself.
