I have about an hour left in the promo. Which HOMM game do you recommend? Any of them except 5 is fine. I hear people saying 2+3 are the ones to consider. Which do you recommend? I can only afford 1 of them.

HOMM 3 is the best game by a long shot. Buy that.

What Stonebro said. I have a lot of nostalgic fondness for HOMM2, as it's the one I played more of as a kid, but 3 is definitely the most polished of the bunch.

3 is the best, 2 and 5 are pretty good, as well.

3 definitely has more bang for your buck, in terms of number of campaigns and maps and mods and such. I understand the love for 2 and its prettier graphics, but 3 is the one to get if you can only get one.

Yeah, if you want the best bang for your buck, get HoMM3.

HoMM II was the best one by far, better music, atmosphere, and honestly I liked the art better.

But you should definitely check the others out next time they're on sale, too.
