I'm just wondering cause both Steam and Gamersgate have sales on at the moment and I would prefer to support GOG but I will buy whatever the cheapest.

Steam is having a sale because they just launched Big Picture mode and it had been almost a week since the last big sale ended.

GOG will likely have their sale later on in the month.
I believe the Steam Christmas sale is launching on the 20th, you can probably expect the GOG one around the same time.

There'll be a Hidden Gem promo tomorrow.

Really? Because (imo) they're going to lose out big time when people spend their gaming dollars at earlier sales held elsewhere. The fact that some people have less money to throw at such purchases as the month goes on doesn't help either.

I'm not saying i'm upset/mad/etc at GOG for delaying this year's(if any) Holiday/Winter sales, just pointing out that the longer they delay the more money they'll potentially be losing out on.
My guess is that GOG will start something to coincide with adding the 500th game to their catalog, which will probably be in a week or two, which would also be a good way to ring in a Christmas sale.

Oh yea that could be a nice kickoff to a holiday sale.

Don't you do that anyway? I know I do. Well, if it's a matter of a buck or so, I'll go for the GOG version, but if GOG's price is significantly higher, I'll buy elsewhere.

... I think that's what he meant
Already buy from Steam and Gamersgate sales.
But I'm holding back to spend all my money because I'm waiting for a GOG holiday sales. Gamersgate has its four week sales, buy 4 for the price of three, and Deals of the day (great deal for bundles). I wish GOG start they holiday sales now for the month of December. Gamers would flock here to buy and potential buyers would not have a second thoughts of buying games elsewhere. Currently Alan Wake franchise is just 10$ in Steam, all two games plus added bonus.
Apparently GOG's sale last year started on December 12. Maybe this year's sale will start around the same time?

I don't think it's Hidden Gem any more...just Gem Promo
