My name is CymTyr = Cym represents Wales because I'm part Welsh, and Tyr is a Nordic/Germanic god that stands for war, justice, and male sexuality. Oh yeah, Tyr is rumored to be the original God that Odin turned into.

My name is Daniel, but used to get Danny from most people. When I went to uni one of the first friends I made was a Girl named Danielle who seemed to go by Danni. As both Danny and Danni are pronounced the same way it got confusing. To avoid that confusion people started calling me HeDanny, and her SheDanni.

HeDanny stuck with me and is the main handle I use all over the intarwebs, but I also use GuruCow in some places as that was my irl nicname long before I went to uni. I have no idea where that came from. Mates just started calling me that (mostly shortened to either just guru or Cow) and it never occurred to me to mind.

When I used to enter my initials into arcade games, I wouldn't use my middle initial (because it's dumb). Almost all arcade game scoreboards use three-letter initial entries, so I was usually left with a dash placeholder before hitting end, hence "EC-"
