Hehe, my girlfriend wants it for Valentine's Day - problem is, she's in UK and I'm in Germany. So I can't get it in EA Store because they always redirect me to their German store page. In short: Impossible to buy it there!
Anyone knows a download service that sells it and allows gifting? She doesn't have the Steam version.
And yes, I know it's neither good nor old...

Magnus: Here?

I think that a more suitable home for it would be here.

I guess you meant Spore: Galactic Adventures? Does it have to be a download service? If not ... try Amazon.co.uk? Allows for gift wrapping and what not, too. I sent gifts to people in Germany using amazon.de. If you have an account with amazon.de you can use it to log in on .co.uk version of the store and the other way 'round.

Hehe, thanks!
Thread can be closed then, probably.
And yes, maybe it's adventures.

You can get it from GamersGate, but you have to use the co.uk site, not the .com site.

Many thanks! She'll be overjoyed. :-)
Am I too late with a snide remark about the poor taste in games your gf has? :-P *ducks*
But yeah, there's many ways to "beat the system". I got proxies that let me buy games at US prices without tax AND lets me buy region restricted games as well. On top of that, there's always stores with free shipping like Play:

Yes, you're too late. :-)
Already said that in the first posting.
Thanks for the link anyway. I tried a proxy for the EA Store but they use JavaScript code to find out what IP one really has.

You need a real thorough proxy like Ivacy - impossible for them to know your ISP that way. I paid $20 or so for 5GB traffic which will last years and I already saved at least $300 in the past year using that trick.
