Where do you back up your games to? I've only just started backing them up. So far i've backed up most of them to DVD. I might buy an external Hard Drive and a few 64gb Flash Drives soon and back them up there as well. Where do you back up your games/extras?
I've seen a lot of people saying they backed it up on some cloud storage service, i wanted to hear more about those.

I'm afraid I don't have anything of use on the subject of cloud storage. I just wanted to say that I just realized where your name came from, and you are thus awesome.

:). I love how everyone on this site gets it, but on Steam everyone thought i was the name of a new Burger King sandwich.

I'm in the process of backing them all up to DVD. I then intend to print out the covers (there's a forum topic on that somewhere?) and put them on my bookshelves. I just love the way the games look physically :)

Roll Fizzle Beef could be a BK sandwich.

Heh.. Me too. Install files on F:\GOG, installing the games to E:\Games.

At first I made an effort backing them up on DVDs but has since given up on that - too much hassle, and I don't think those DVDs will actually last any longer than GOG itself will. (Worst case scenario: Retrieve what I've bought from "the torrent cloud" (I really should get a complete list of checksums, though, in case gogwiki goes down too..))
GOG itself is a limited cloud service. As cloud services go it is very cheap for what it does -- you don't have recurring fees. Most cloud services are too expensive to store stuff like games.
I just keep a portable hard drive and two sets on DVD-Rs (lately on BD-Rs), one offsite. Before anybody comments about the lifetime of DVD-R, this has never been a problem. My archives started on floppies. Before floppies reached the end of their life all contents ended on a few CD-Rs, then moved to DVD-Rs, recently to BD-Rs.
External Harddrive.

I do, two of them. Well, they are not small anymore, time flies. I know exactly what you mean but I've managed without any non-recoverable damage.
How do we back up? I mean, what files are we using? I know, dumb question, but what, do I install a game and then copy all the files?
Until I get myself an external hard drive, I back some of them up on my 16 GB USB stick for now.

Hey! Get off my computer! =P

Yes, system and important stuff on C (two 15k rpm 300GB disks in RAID 1) - who'd guessed ;-)
Do DVD-Rs have a lifespan? If it doesn't get physically damaged at all, how long does it last? As long as it's not damaged?
