It's been two years since Caesar III came to Gog and my disc copy of Pharaoh has seen better days.
There's a wishlist.
Yes, X game will come to GOG in Y time

It's pointless to ask about specific games, it's not like GOG is holding anything back, when a company lets them put a game on here, it's here, so just use wishlist and wait

Yup, Wing Commander 4 was here really fast. Just after WC 3 was released....

I would bet it was on EA's end
With 2-3 releases a week they may have pushed Pharaoh into schedule for next 3 years :P

It's not like they're releasing them as fast as possible.

EA did 9/11 too.

sure, everything must be EA's fault, right? i mean, EA couldn't possibly be interested in putting these games up on sale ASAP. and look how greedy they've been! $5.99 for each game?!? and almost no extras to go with the games.

oh, wait... EA is probably the best publisher currently on GOG. all their games are for sale at the lowest price point and most of the games come with a ton of extras. and that's not even taking into account the stellar quality of their GOG catalogue.

IMO it's much more realistic to think GOG is keeping these games back in order to have a new Good Old Game to be released every Tuesday and Thursday.

as for Pharaoh, just buy the complete edition (including Cleopatra) from Sold Out Software on Ebay or your local game store. same with Zeus and Empire: Rise of the Middle Kingdom. if you want all 4 (not to mention Caesar 4, too) you'll wait forever for them to show up on GOG.

They already said, during the conference, they have gazillions of good old games waiting for release.

A bet at least part of them could be released right now.

It's just their (strange) releasing policy, that's holding some releases...

You sound a tad frustrated mate.

I don't believe I ever said I had anything against EA, or said anything particularly against them, just that the delay for WC4 was probably on their end.

Also, can you please explain then why EA is withholding the expansions to the WC games (and other titles) on GOG?
Nobody knows that.

I believe it's because some rights to the expansions are unclrear, others say GOG.com f***ed up the agreement with EA.
When they feel like it.

The internet is a fickle bitch, never going to forget anything.

And if you really think EA is "holding back" the expansions, well, I rather stay civil...

frustrated with GOG's release policy, yeah.

speculation based on what? what kind of sense could this possibly make?

more speculation. who says it's EA's fault again? why would EA not want to sell the expansions? who says it's not GOG's fault?

the point is that EA has been extremely forthcoming with bonus content and the best possible editions of their games (just look at WC4), and they haven't been greedy about it, either, pricing all their games at $5.99 when they could have easily asked $9.99 for most of their titles. there's nothing indicating that EA has refused to sell the expansions.
