Supposedly this was GOG's 5 year anniversary or something and they said there would be something special halfway through October? What is this special thing and can it please be free games for all or something? lol =)

At a guess I'd say the "something special" would be the free copies of The Witcher.

I hope not!!!! I didn't buy the first weeks buy 5 games at 80% off cus I figured there would be even better things later! I could've bought Penumbra for 3 dollars, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ='(

Well, there is going to be a sale tomorrow, like every Friday :)
And we'll have a winter sale soon.

They had a bunch of giveaways to help celebrate their 5th anniversary. I'm sure that 5 for 80% off sale was part of it as well.

Not 100% positive, but you may have missed out on a huge chunk of what they had planned to do for it if you were skipped everything else they did this month in the hopes of something even bigger. (Bigger than 80% off select games? That's pretty much the highest discount I've seen for anything here aside from the sparse time-limited freebies like Fallout and Torchlight)

Well I already had most of the games from that promo so I didn't want to spend a minimum of 10 dollars on games I didn't really want to buy a $10 game. So I figured I'd wait for the next sale to see if they had awesomer choices. And I figure that GOG has to put Penumbra on sale on Halloween anyway right? I hope so....
