Currently I'm writing a book. About some legal stuff.

Apart from that I work at an undisclosed German University. Doing legal stuff.

I have to much time on my hand, as I work pretty much on my own accord. Need to get more work done on that book...

I used to have a super awesome casino software company which I created and built up over the course of about 5 years. It died due to a bunch of silly legal shit I won't go into at the moment. I now work in marketing and sales strategy for a telecoms company, and own just over half of a small car rental business. Both are boring as hell, but at least they pay the bills and are indisputably legal.

.. Well, I sort of have 3 jobs-ish.

1) My 'real job', I manufacture fire performance equipment. I am Senior Manufacturer and head of R&D (.. All of R&D >.>) at Fire Mecca, a local company which supplys performers and spinners all over the world.

2) I am a fire performer- .. sort of. I was part of a troupe, but that troupe underwent restructuring that did not meet my needs from a fire troupe.. so I'm in the process of starting my own, so I'm kind of on hiatus fo a little while until I get the new troupe up and running.

3) I also, more as a hobby than a 'job' but I still put time and resources in to it to make money out of it, create nifty handcrafgted items to sell on Etsy (etsy.com/zolgar >.>)

I do IT desktop support for a global skincare and cosmetics company. I'm also married with 2 kids, so no, I don't get much time for GOGs... :(

Books about illegal stuff sell more :).


Anyway, i'm a university student trying to finish my masters.

I'm working as a Concept Artist for an independent online gaming company. I'm also a graphic artist doing freelance work. I'm a game addict and always have a headache, because after a long hours of work I still play games before going to bed.

Economist and researcher.

Also an advanced PhD student of economics.

I think my title still is "project manager", which seems to mean any "manager" who has to oversee something.

Fortunately I also get my own hands dirty sometimes (in SW dev and stuff), it keeps me motivated. I hated it earlier (years ago) when my expertise was really just "project management", ie. mastering Excel, and not having any idea what the developers are telling me in meetings and stuff. Now I at least have a hunch, and can even participate in the dialog.

I like my current job (tidy job indoors, you know Finnish winters, right?), but I wouldn't necessarily mind trying something completely different, even "physical work". I recently got a request to apply to some work in a local bank (company), but I let that offer pass. I guess it would have been more of the same, possibly with less pay. And I think the banks are downsizing now too, even though they are doing fine.

Since I don't normally work in the evenings or weekends, I can do lots of gaming then if I want. But still sometimes just watching TV feels more relaxing, so many times I don't start gaming until very late in the evening, after my gf goes to sleep. 10-11pm or so.

This last weekend I played quite a lot of Saints Row 3 though, as it was free-to-play on Steam. Burp, I think I got enough of it for now. Good thing the weather last weekend was horrible (around 10-15 Celsius degrees (50-59 Fahrenheit) with heavy rain), so I didn't even feel bad that we mostly stayed inside.

Ah okay, just asking

Final year PhD student working on biomaterials and quantitative 3D image processing. Basically a lot of coding on high powered computers and GPUs.
Which is odd since my back ground is in tissue engineering (yay for gaming teaching me how to program.)

But I have less and less and time for GOGs these days

Here! Here! Although many years ago, and in a 3rd world country at that!

I built two house (semi detach) and a workshop, I lay bricks and mix the cement (using shovel of course, being 3rd world country and all).

Took the tool on my body too much... long story...

I'm currently unemployed and a part-time software engineering student studying from home; hoping to apply to study software engineering full time at a prestigious school next spring.

I'd love to code my own indie games and write fiction for a living (ambitious, yes), but for the moment I'll remain a financially challenged hobbyist.

I wonder if hikikomori-geek-culture-enthusiast counts as a job title? At least I have a lot of time for games.

Oh, and I was a volunteer worker in Thailand and China for a long, long time.

It depends whether you get any money being a hikikomori or not. :)

That is actually a part of my job. I actually killed one contract the day I started. My own. Apart from that the people my work is freeing up is delegated to other areas. Good old state employees, don't have to worry.
