Without a doubt Diablo 1, as far as i am concerned it's the best thing out of all the blizzard studio's
Lost vikings and Blackthorn!

after that they just started doing diablos and warcrafts and more diablos and warcrafts.

Blizzard North did not make Lost VIkings, Blackthorn, or Warcraft. Those were all made by Blizzard's primary studio.

Blizzard is Blizzard, it's not like it would actually matter if next diablo was developed by blizzard x instead of blizzard y.

The title says "favorite Blizzard North game"

Blizzard North was a separate studio. Different people, different location, and up to just before the release of Diablo 1 it was under different ownership as well. Blizzard North has since been disbanded; there will never be another Blizzard North game.

There will never be another Blizzard North game but there will definitely be another Blizzard game and the outcome is actually the same as back when blizzard north wasn't disbanded because it just doesn't matter since it's blizzard anyway.

That's what people said about Black Isle. And yet, against all logic or reason, there it is.

Dude, that's like saying about Bullfrog, Westwood or Origin that it doesn't matter they were disbanded because it's EA anyway and there's gonna be more EA games. The only difference is that Blizzard actually put "Blizzard" in that studio's name.

This is like saying there's no difference between EA and Westwood. One may have bought up the other, but fans will always make the distinction between the two.

It should also be noted that Diablo 1's development was mostly complete at the time that Condor was purchased by Blizzard and rebranded into Blizzard North.
That's what people said about Black Isle. And yet, against all logic or reason, there it is.
It's true that the trademark owner can always recycle the name. However, in the case of Blizzard North this is unlikely since it was always meant to evoke the trademark of "Blizzard".

Oh, I stand to correct then, GTA 3 Vice City.

Are you trying to make us believe that Rockstar North is the same thing as Blizzard North? <.<

Neither of them were producing the same thing over and over again and Blizzard actually is just diablo and whatevercraft

I think I don't follow. Are you suggesting that for some reason Blizzard won't be able to create a new team called "Blizzard North"?

No, this is more like saying there's no difference between blizzard and blizzard because the fans most likely don't care. If they did care, not that it would actually create any difference in the matter, then they could just phrase the question "is diablo your favourite game?" rather than "What's your favorite Blizzard North game?"

That Blizzard has fewer franchises than most other publishers is perfectly irrelevant. The point is: Blizzard just acquired Condor and rebranded them to Blizzard North. You wouldn't insist on Blizzard North being the same thing as Blizzard if they hadn't renamed the studio which was a symbolic gesture.

What? I don't understand anymore, now my brain hurts. =(
