Bought a T60 for 60€, the shopkeeper said it was broken, all it needed was a reinstall of windows and a new HDD (lol)

Ever go to a used record store? I love to look at some of the great records they have and then take a look at the Top 40 at which point I become dizzy and confused. :P

Got a copy of Republic: The Revolution for about £1, not long after it was removed from GOG...

You have my deepest sympathies.
(Seriously, that game sucks....it has sucky controls[The only way you can play reasonably is with a gamepad/etc.] &[iirc] it's just a mod/tc of the game Pirates!.)

Thing is, the graphics aren't too bad, but the control scheme feels like it's better played with a gamepad(or maybe it was ripped from a console version?). As such it can be hard to play some bits(some which are needed to progress, even, like[iirc] opening gates.) with a pc mouse/keyboard.

I found these at the thrift store today for $4 each (just ignore the music CD). They still have all the manuals and bonuses that come with it. The Neverwinter Nights box had some sort of quilt of a map inside. They even have some ads for an internet connection. It was very interesting seeing the prices (one of them was for $6 a month) and the speeds.

I've never found anything all that great at a thrift store.
I did get a good mix of PS1/PS2 games for a great price at a garage sale though.
$1 each: Colony Wars, Dark Cloud 2, Klonoa 2,Tomba

Aside from this being an UNDEAD THREAD, REMOVE THE HEAD! etc, Idon't ever remember GGf162 utilising the same avatar as YellowAries. So what is going on?

Anyway, I found some very good quality used piano sheet music from some older '80s (of all things and quite surprising) Reader's Digest collections at Powell's; one Christmas and a classical one. Certainly beats paying the outrageous prices new sheet music is going for, whose quality wouldn't be nearly as good.
That and also a nice little booklet with rules for some 100 different games than can be played with a regular deck of cards(with good visual aides and instructions).
Yeah, it's definitely a great place to find some used stuff for decent prices. I hardly every buy anything new, and I don't buy regular books, and why should I? That's what I got the library for! ;) One of the best uses of taxpayer money, in my view.

The best thing I've found so far was an original C64 copy of Ultima I with trinkets and maps (but, sadly, the maps are paper since cloth maps were not used for Ultima I.)
The only other Ultima I've found in a store was a copy of Martian Dreams going for nearly $100 at an antiques store. It was just the discs in a plastic bag since it was the version that was handed out with new computers. I almost bought it since that game was impossible to find.
Of course now it's rather easy to find and available for $100 less and right here! (One more reason GOG rules!)

Finding a Beneath a Steel Sky jewelcase for three euros was kind of cool.
