I just bought Grim Fandango complete with the box, manual, 1st year guide, Lucasarts catalogue and both discs with the cover in excellent shape for $25.

So yeah, topic.

Niiiiiiiice. I've found some pretty good books, but all the thrift stores I've ever been to never had video games
I've found nothing spectacular, but my last charity store haul looked like this. Nothing in this picture cost me more than 20sek (as a price comparison, 1L of milk costs right around 10sek).

I was a bit shocked to find that what I thought was a bargain priced Colonization turned out to be a Colonization DVD case with an incredibly scratched up Age of Empires 2 expansion CD inside...
my birth certificate
Well I didn't buy any of them, but a few weeks ago I saw these GOGs in a used book store.

An old China tea pot, which I recognized as antique. Qing dynasty.

This. Is. Fuck. Ing. Awe. Some.
We don't have thrift store - we have charity shops, but n that note about half my collectibles come from such, and around half of my older retail copy games!

TBH though - if you were in the UK, you'd be looking at around a fiver for all that toegther!

Pirates of the Caribbean for PC?!? 0.o

You have my deepest sympathies.

(Seriously, that game sucks....it has sucky controls[The only way you can play reasonably is with a gamepad/etc.] &[iirc] it's just a mod/tc of the game Pirates!.)

Is that Half-Price Books?

ED: Nevermind, just saw the price tags. The question now is: which one? :D

When I lived in Berkeley, Half-Price Books was my favorite store to buy videogames. Way better than videogames stores.
