i made an account just so i could ask this. i'm desperate.

years and years ago, i had a CD full of emulators and games. let's say this was before 2001 for reference. i'm looking for the name of one of the games, since i lost the CD.

it was a side scroller, not sure which year it was from, but before the 2000's, the graphics were 8 bit-y and the music too.
i remember one of the bosses was a giant snake and you had to hit all segments of it, and it got smaller as you destroyed the segment and it turned red when it was almost dying.
and another boss was a giant fish
i think.
i also can whistle a fragment of the song, if someone tells me where i can host it.
please, i've been looking for years! i'd appreciate any and all help.

it didn't have an inventory and the graphics were more japanese-esque (hard to describe haha)
my sister suggested contra and it's not, either.
she remembered which game im talking about but she doesnt remember the name either.

Was it a mame game or? What emulator you played it on?

it was probably not a "mame" game, since i never really heard that name until right now
i was like 6 at the time so i wasnt keen on exploring all the files
i remember using the SNES emulator, the NES one and the mega drive one. could have been another, but theres a bigger chance it was one of those three.

You sure it wasn't Alien Soldier ? Because the very first boss was a snake thing. If it wasn't that, was it Altered Beast ?

I was thinking more in the lines of Aladdin on the SNES (Jafar being a snake as a final boss) Or even one of mickey mouse's adventure... I suppose it's a platformer and not a beat'em up

i'm sure it wasn't anything disney.
the character was human, i'm almost sure. it wasn't a vehicle. it was something living.
a human male, 80% sure.
the snake was green initially and only turned red in the end. and it was the boss of one of the initial stages, not last or final ones.

Might be the snake boss from legend of zelda: a link to the past on Snes... But I highly doubt it since it's a top-down perspective and not a side-scroller...
