I like Mickey Mouse :))
This is Dennis Wilson. The picture is taken from the booklet of Pacific Ocean Blue.
I like cats
I was bored at home
It was my first month with my tablet
I was thinking:
"I like cats
I am bored at home
It is my first month with my tablet"
Well and this pic just happened. :3
Also I know it could be better but remember - I was still getting used to my tablet :3
Oh that reminds me, I picked up a tablet earlier this month as one of the electronic's shops was closing down. I still need to really get to grips with that sucker.
Mine's from a cover of Shade the Changing Man, which is my favorite comic ever published... I've been using this as an avatar for years now :)
I think mine is quite self-explanatory to anyone who browses this site :)
It's from the timeless classic "Monkey island 2: LeChuck's Revenge", one of the best adventure games ever made.
Mine's a shot of an Xcom Trooper getting pumped before departing to a mission.(yeah, apparently Xcom protocol states that you must scream at the top of your lungs even before getting your standard issue rifle)
It comes straight from the intro, and if only GOG supported animated avatars, you'd be seeing the Muton commander ordering the assault on a city.
These two were my first .fli animations back in the DOS era, and they've been with me since windows 3.1. They've been recently converted to .gif files by sheer force of screenshots.

I'm really just an old time Quaker... for me this game represents everything that's missing in modern games. A versatile engine. Great support from the developers including an Open Source release of the whole freaking engine! A vibrant community that has created everything from simple maps to entirely different games (racing, chess, snowboarding, space combat, you name it, Quake has it). A developer who talks about how things are working and why they were designed in that way.
id back then designed their games to work forever, to improve over time. They didn't want people to play it once and then throw it away so that they would buy the next game, which seems to be what many developers are aiming for today. Today, replayability is often seen as a weakness.
It's the Laughing Man's logo. Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex is one of my favourite anime. Also, I'm a software developer, and while I'm no super-hacker, I have had to do a little lightweight reverse-engineering (simple file types and communication protocols) as part of my job.
I also found it rather appropriate that I'm not the only one with a Laughing Man avatar. There are at least two other members who wear this face.
My hyper-curious dog was being especially annoying and 'in-your-face'. I happened to have my camera handy so... She was startled when the flash went and I got a hypnotizing pic. When asked for an avatar I thought, "Why not" and threw it on.
I should throw in some glowing red eyes or something to be truly disturbing.
If anyone cares she is a husky-collie mix and almost 2 years old now. Fantastically cute and pretty obedient, but exceptionally curious.
My avatar came from the old Vampire: TMB forums, before the fansite became Planet vampire or whatever it was a different site and the avatar was one of the ones there, then after I used it for a while I realized that it was Raziel, from the great Soul Reaver/Legacy of Kain series and I've stuck with using it since, along with my Berserk avatar I use here and there.
Mine's from Lemmings, because sometimes my life feels likes it's plodding along mindlessly, straight to the nearest cliff. :D I couldn't find a decent pixellated avatar though.

Stiler: My avatar ...

@Stilter - Your avatar looks like Raziel before he was killed by Kain from Blood Omen series ^_^
Raziel
