I mean come on...fuck...that right there should be an automatic -1000 to the rep. Sure, he said he would love it, and Thanks!...but who would not love getting $110 worth of games for free. Especially when all i had to do was createa free account and then post in the non GOG gifting thread.

I guess its better to ask than to pirate but shit...at least get to know people around you and make some good friends. Heck, i would not ask one of my good friends straight up for a $60 game, let alone a stranger.

Sure he can be all friendly like and apologize, but come on...he does not deserve any love at the moment.

Yeah from HIS parents. Not over $100 worth of games from total strangers. I know some people see the GOG community as one big family but what vexxum did is going too far.

And even so, punishing him so severely for such a minor "offense" seems petty and rude in and of itself to me.

Dude, huge difference between asking someone in your family for $100 worth of games and asking a total stranger for $100 worth of games.

vexxum basically your current situation is akin to that of a dog in a box. And what you've got to do is to make the dog bigger than the box. Not like a mad wolf in a Kleenex box, but rather like a friendly Alsatian in a cardboard box.

Not if your parents aren't that well to do and your brother does it every month or so.

Look at this thread for fuck's sake. He's just a beggar looking for free gifts. Look at his requests at the Gifting thread, he's asking for MW3 and AC3, which are very expensive games to ask a gift for. What has he done for the community? Nothing.

He reminds me of Wakalo. It actually might be him, the style is very similar.

Unfortunately, the generosity of this community attracts a few beggars such as this one.

I agree but I also think people need to not unfairly judge someone just because they might start out on the wrong foot.

I didn't realise that downrepping somebody is such a severe punishment.

It's amazing how many people are willing to play devil advocat to someone who is obviously trying to abuse rep system to get games for free.
